Good deal. Extra 34 GB data is for first 15 months only. It will revert back to 16GB on 16th Month of contract.

I was going to post this too, based on that I just opted for TalkMobile via uswitch cos there I got the same but 50GB fixed for 5p cheaper, 30day rolling. They run on Vodafone which fortunately is marginally better signal-wise, compared to all the other networks in my area.

I just wont go to Vodafone directly again, outrageously rubbish customer service.

Looks like it's included in the list of TCB compare SIM only deals £13 cashback.

Moved to smarty on this deal a couple of months ago from EE. Then moved to the 40GB for £5.25 deal.

It's definitely slower than EE on average and I now and again don't have signal but it's way cheaper and works fine once you just use it. Doesn't matter if I get 20mbps or 200mbps most of the time.

I did get 1.5gbps once and blasted through 10% of my data cap in once test

It depends where you live. 3 seems to be about on par with EE here and theres a specific dead zone on EE that isn't there now I'm on Smarty.

My work is the same very similar between the 2 networks. I would say web page loading is snappier on EE though but for the price difference I'm not going to complain!

I'm on 120GB with unlimited texts and minutes for £10 with Smarty. Great CS and coverage (London). Not had any problems with them

If 3 signal works for you (which I think Smarty use) this deal is brilliant value for money!

    Switched to SMARTY from three.
Really surprised and happy with improved quality of calls and speed of Internet. They technically using same network but Smart is way superior. (edited)

Yeah I used have a go at the 3 network but when I found out a new 3 network mast had been built near me I switched from EE and it’s been so
much better in this location. I couldn’t make indoor calls with EE!

One thing to note. On smarty you cannot reply or text premium short code texts. For example entering competitions via text or replying to your bank about transactions it will not let you do it. Otherwise been a great network

Cracking deal. Just switched from Lebara 15gb deal to this, 15GB really wasnt enough for me but this is perfect. Thanks OP

Edit* £6.80 tracked through TCB too (edited)

Their customer service has been shocking for me, one of the worst!

I was cut off for a day after I'd used up the credit on my account and they had to take payment from my PayPal (that was all setup long before). I was initially told it was insufficient funds, which was laughable, then that they were having issues taking payment with some accounts. Then the next person I spoke to, further up the chain was adamant that it was an issue at my end 🤦🏻‍♂️

That's not the first time they've screwed up, hence me having "goodwill" credit on my account

Smarty are fantastic! If I'm currently paying £8 a month for 30GB data, can I move to this? Not that I need the extra 20gb mind you...
    HKay's avatar
Yes certainly just contact them on live chat.

Just looked at this and to keep the 50gb of data for a max of 15 months you have to keep up the payments on a continuous monthly basis

i switched to them from Lebara - upgraded to 40 gb p/m from 5 gb for about same price in the last deal.

really regret it for 2 reasons, so im considering to switch back...

    1) their coverage in london can be really poor/ spotty that made Lebara felt extremely premium.. (on vodafone network). places like stratford is a no-go for coverage (and maybe in general :D)
    2) no international calling... (lebara has like 100 minutes p/m)

i suggest you don't get your hopes up, there's a reason why they are 'cheap'.
what's the point of having a lot of internet when you can't use it?!
    EndemicAlarm's avatar
Lol, the comment immediately below yours says exactly the opposite.

It depends where you go. Always does, regardless of network.

    Worth to remember:
    Customers must: a. either set up their account to auto-renew each month or manually renew their Eligible Plan each month within 12 hours of their pre-paid billing cycle end date;

Ordered 17.4.2024 still no sim. They say it's sent 1st class post. Not a great start.

Can you use this sim in wifi dongle?
    Mattyjkuk's avatar
Yes you can, I do exactly that with a Three Huawei router

I have been with Smarty for just over a year and moved from sky (o2 network) due to the serious over subscribed network, with Sky mobile i could have full bars of service on 5G and couldn't even pull 1mbps downloads. Smarty in a whole have been great however 2 weeks ago they sent a text saying they are carrying out "Network improvements at your registered postcode area" and now I have barely 3g service (which is being switched off soon)

Every network has or is switching off the 3G network. It is extremely hard to find any 3G phone signal in the UK now.
Everyone needs a 4G or 5G capable phone today.
3G is dead as Monty Python's parrot.
