    The price hasn't dropped - it's always been £49.99 for this edition from Nintendo directly.

    ​There's sfz solus deal that has just gone hot and a hukd user claims he finds the controls good...so I guess it's best to read up on gamer/user reviews on how the controls are...you can try posting a question on the wii u reddit site about people's feedback on the controls...
