    Wow pure nostalgia . Had the floodlights, clip together stands and about 20 different teams back in the day. Might get this to show the kids what we did before FIFA. Heat Op

    Did anyone actually play the game? Me and my mates just used to love setting up the pitch, teams etc, and then the game itself was dry as anything so we’d go and play actual footy outside.

    This just brought back a wave of memories!!! I had a table, all the extras and a load of teams as a kid. Better than FIFA!!

    My dad always hid the Christmas presents behind the wardrobe. One Christmas he put the Grandstand edition there, wrapped in brown paper and tied off with string. I found it when my parents were out - opened it all up and very crudely rewrapped it all… 10 year old style… and my dad never realised until Christmas Eve….. Didn’t go down well !!!

    I so wanted the Grandstand edition when I was a lad. Ended up building my own stands in woodwork at school.....it looked like something from the Scottish lower leagues

    Nostalgia but holy hell this game is difficult. You can however make it slightly easier by removing the players base and adding blu tac to make them heavier.

    I'm finding it hard to work out the quality of the mat. In a couple of the pictures it looks thin and wrinkled, in a couple of others it looks perfect.

    I just remember my dad stapling our one to a large wooden board so it would stay flat and would be easier to get out

    Good set. The pitch is a lot better than it was years ago.
    The players are also bit more resilient as they click into the base.
    The only disappointment is the goals. The nets are so difficult and are loose around the posts.
