    Excuse my ignorance but what exactly does this do in laymens terms, I feel I need it ......

    Your laptop or computer may have only a few USB slots, so if you need extra USB slots to connect other devices etc, you'll also to be able to connect to the internet via an ethernet cable directly from the modem, for a more stable internet connection.

    You can also connect it via a USB-C converter tip which is included, for faster file transfers (images, files etc)

    Only thing I ain't sure about is whether this could be used with a tablet that has a Type C slot? If anyone knows I'd highly appreciate your help

    Multiple options at £1.20 delivered 5-days via the Ali "Welcome Deal" blag,
    but if you absolutely need USB A as well as C you might need to throw an additional 19p at an adapter
