EDIT: The Bella Figura red is terrible straight out the bottle but very drinkable after it's been open for a day. So I advise a good airing (pour from a height into a jug) before drinking!

As the last online orders from this amazing Hukdeal finally reach their resting places and the Tesco delivery vans struggle back to base, I would like to thank the following people for their help in making this deal so (and my resulting purchase) extremely HOTTTT!

stu1e for finding and posting the deal in the first place and for his patience in answering some of the recurring – recurring – recurring questions that he had already clearly posted in the title details, and had already been answered in this thread many times over and for constantly updating the title so efficiently.
    I recommend stu1e for a HotUKdeals knighthood

All the forum members who have contributed to this thread and patiently tried to help new arrivals, who hadn’t bothered to read the previous posts. I haven’t had so much fun since the (coincidentally) Tesco - Cathedral City Cheese glitch

The Tesco delivery drivers for their efforts to deliver something to everyone
They knew what was going on by today but they still happily struggled up streets/drives with carrier bags full of wine (no cases available lol) without spilling a drop or breaking a bottle

Tesco Customer Services. If you haven’t bothered to query/complain about your order, that’s down to you. I found them most helpful and sympathetic to my “short order” complaint regarding compensation

And finally - - Tesco. For the second time in the last few weeks, they’ve honoured an obvious price glitch for much longer than most competitors would and they’ve not pulled the whole deal before the expiry date.
In the circumstances, changing a few price labels doesn’t really detract from the quality of this HukDeal

I look forward to the next one (_;)

    It's a pity this isn't really a good quality wine. Over-priced to start....but at £1.50/bottle/net, is a fair price.

Already posted … Already posted yesterday:-http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/25-off-6-bottles-wine-starts-tomorrow-1349590#comments

I posted this here as the old post was about the 25% discount pre it starting today and the OP did not know about the glitch. We (the community) discussed it may glitch yesterday evening and I was up early this morning to try it out and report back (read MY posts on that thread!). I made this post to inform the masses about the wine glitch to show proof and to show the maths. Please no pointless hating thank you very much!

(I ask because your writing is a bit juvenile) think Tescos will have to arrest quite a lot of people then if it's just for buying wine...btw...out of Ogio and Hardys here...hope it's still on if they restock in the morning...my Tescos website has gone down as well...lol

When you "took me Hardys" to the till, were you "wiv me Julies"?

Worked in Walkden Gtr Manchester at 9.10pm this evening. When we got to the wine aisle, there were no 3 for £12 stickers anywhere.

Unusually, a Tesco guy saw us looking and asked if he could help us - we asked about the offer and he said it'd been cancelled this morning. I then saw where they had removed the 3 for £12 stickers with loads of the wine still available and thought I'd try it anyway. It all went through with both offers.

Just been reading the comments people have been making on the daily mail online comments feed.. Jeez there's some miserable people out there..
Moaning about the wine, moaning about US for buying it, one even said if they'd have found the pricing to be incorrect then they'd have informed the manager straight away.. I bet living in their household is a laugh a minute

    Not my question and still don't know if addictweb pic is relevant … Not my question and still don't know if addictweb pic is relevant in-store STILL. Due to many confusing and contradictory comments and reports here my question was and still is:What are the prices (6x bottles) for wines apart from Ogio in-store?If anyone knows the answer please tell, cheers.:{

Are you for real!! SERIOUS!??!? It has been reported that some bottles have had there RRP changed (hence less disount!) but you are wanting someone to go tesco and find out and write down all the amended prices and put them here???

Maybe just go TESCO and find out for yourself !!! Whatever the prices you will be still saving!!

how can they have the cheek of saying this wine is worth £9.99, this is … how can they have the cheek of saying this wine is worth £9.99, this is the same sort of wine you find 2 for £5 in off licenses

Any item is "worth" what somebody is willing to pay for it. Wine especially is largely a "perceived value" good. For 99%+ of people here, including myself to some degree, the primary determinants of how good they declare a given wine to be after they have imbibed it relate to the bottle, the price of the wine, and the temperature at which it was served. I've become somewhat of a fanatic of both Sauternes and sweet Rieslings--(yes - I like sweet wines). I can differentiate them quite well. But I couldn't differentiate a 4 pound from a 12 pound cab/merlot from another, even though I've probably had hundreds of them in my life at various functions.

for dry white wines, take away the bottle and receipt, and most people will grade the wine more or less based on the temperature at which it is served. ironically, in practice, the colder the better score, as while people like to pretend they drink and like dry wine, most actually don't, and the cooler temperature numbs the taste buds and/or leaves only the sweeter overtones.

And You are lucky I was in a good mood the mans jiberish reasoning mad no sence....Black and white proof is how we work not a gentlewoman's agreement...this is not 1812.....

tesco have a blanket bulk purchase statement posted around the shop which they can use for any reason as iirc its 'discretionary' ...not that they actually need a reason to refuse you.
you got 24 bottles - stop being a greedy whiner and let someone else get some.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Stu1e - i went and got some late last night (had to anxiously wait for the hubby to get home and keep an eye on the kids ) - it worked and we got 4 cases (2 for us, 2 for a friend),

In the time i was anxiously waiting i thought sod it and made an online order. I ordered 12 bottles, 6 red/6white, pushed the limit just over £50 by adding butter and washing up liquid (two things we needed, not totally random lol), and then as it was a first order i used a £50 off first shop code
I was dubious about it going through, though it did, and even better than expected. They couldn't deliver the white, but the did deliver 3xOgio Merlot and sub'd the other 3 for First Cape Discovery's (which is more expensive).

So basically this is what i ended up getting:

    3xOgio ~ 3for£12
    3x First Cape Discovery's ~ 3for£12
    Washing up liquid ~ £1
    Butter ~ £2
    Delivery charge ~ £5.50
    Total after basic 3for£12 offer = £32.50

After the £10 off and 25% off deals somehow my total delvered came to just £5.25!!!!

That's cheaper than the delivery alone should have been

I can't quite work out how they got it so low, but i guess the fact the First Cape was more expensive initially it took a bigger value off when applying the 25% discount - anyhow, however they done it, i am well and truly over the moon!

    Thank you again OP! x

Hmmm, why do I find it difficult to believe that you aren't a tesco employee...

    Could it be...

    1. You've done nothing wrong
    2. You appear to have been arrested by the store security immediately!?
    3. You appear to be listing a scare story to prevent everyone else taking advantage of a legitimate glitch.
    4. If tesco have done this to you, AND you weren't trying to steal them then you can sue them for defamation of character, something they know very well, so I doubt very much they would have dared arrest you...

If my cynical radar is way off, and you did indeed suffer the indignity of being arrested then my apologies, but you should be able to refer to point 4 above and settle the case for considerably more than the cost of 6 cases of wine.
