You talking rubbish mate ! These tyres are well known for poor wear and soft sidewalls - just read some reviews please ...
So the wife trashes the tyres & the tyre gets blamed !!
Yeah, right.

You should check Tyreleader
How are they in the dry ? I don't understand some of the reviews... Uniroyal seem to have a great reputation in the wet from drivers yet in the magazine reviews tyres like Goodyear Efficient Grip, Dunlop Bluresponse put them ahead both in wet and dry... are they protecting their advertising revenue?
In the dry they're a bit better but I can't see them lasting more than 10-15k miles on the front and my boy racers days are behind me.
Still recommend these though.
Very disappointed.

Go for it great tyres been around for a long while british made ive listed them before from AA tyres.
Other brands including Falken, Khumo and Avon lasted 12-14k. They are excellent in the wet but a fast wear rate it the compromise you get with soft rubber compound.
The Avon ZV 5 I have used recent seem to be the best compromise between grip, wear rate and price.

Thanks for the warning. If the side wall of a tyre is that weak it makes it a low quality tyre in my book.
Don't talk rubbish, if the sidewall is gone then she has hit something that obviously damaged the tyre sufficiently in the first place. As for punctures, well you were lucky for 3.5 years, don't blame any tyre for a puncture.
Blaming the tyre for a poor drivers ability, jeez, I've read some bull & that is King Kong size bull.
Same here, wife had a pair fitted to the front and barely lasted 8k. Now on a pair of similarly priced Falkens and impressed so far in the wet. Wear yet to be determined.

I'm sure that's just the local F1 close to you.
However I have had first class service at the Swindon branch.
And continue to give them my business as a result of this .
I find it hard to trust garages, because most of them try to make out something is broken or worn on your car for extra business. I have never had babbling BS from F1 and feel like I'm leaving my car in honest hands there, I can't speak for all F1 auto centres but Swindon branch, never had a problem and great prices too

Wow! Talk about touching a nerve!. Work for Uniroyal by any chance?
I only said these tyres are known for soft sidewalls - you decided it must be wife who trashed the tyres. You didn't see anything but made a verdict... it's so easy to be a judge
Wet grip deteriorates with wear but still good when damp, not great when saturated or loads of standing water.
wear is OK so far
Whatever you say but the wife trashed the tyres by her driving, never seen a tyre commit suicide before !
No, just someone with a shake of the head attitude with your comments.
A lot of people complaing about soft sidewalls but you talking same s..t all the time...
3 deals posted(but plenty of comments left ) in 7 years of membership says everything .
