Checked my local tesco (Prescot) on the off chance of getting the 8gb basic deal as my wii U is off for repair atm.

Had no basics but did have the lego premium for £84, last one too

Normally don't bother chasing these tesco deals but was passing so why not......

the problem is people are calling up these stores to enquire and staff … the problem is people are calling up these stores to enquire and staff aren't aware of it until then, theyre then telling them they have none and keeping what's left for staff, its disgusting.

How is it disgusting? They work there, majority for a pittance, they've every right to this deal.

Sell/Trade-in the silly Lego game and you'll have nearly paid the price … Sell/Trade-in the silly Lego game and you'll have nearly paid the price of a brand new game.

the silly lego game is probably the best lego game ever made.

Most Tesco's no longer stock Wii-U and most have not done for quite some time now! Wild goose chase is an understatement, good luck to anyone who is lucky enough to find a Tesco that still has these! Not one Tesco within 50 miles of where I stay has stocked Wii-U consoles for months now...

Dont think you have a hope eBay scalpers will have bought them all only … Dont think you have a hope eBay scalpers will have bought them all only problem with this site is that but I can't complain as I never would have known about it without the original poster lesson learnt for me straight in there in the morning next time. I wouldn't be so annoyed if I hadn't missed it by minutes and the person has bought the last one not the only two it's not even for me was going to be a gift for my little brother. Sob story over

Good lesson. I learnt that instead of ringing up, one should go into the store instead. (I called up my local extra store yesterday afternoon and the woman said they didn't have any left.. then yesterday evening a guy posted on here that he got the last one from the same store I called that afternoon.)

Best things to do are: go in early/asap, and ask a manager. If someone says the item isn't on offer i'd also ask them to swipe it through just to be sure. Also, make sure they take a look out the back if there's none on the shop floor (i'd even go and ask another person just so I can be 100% sure, again preferably a manager. duty manager would be best)

    Lessons learned eh

Typical Nintendo tactic, make them all cheap and therefore rare, then … Typical Nintendo tactic, make them all cheap and therefore rare, then introduce the 'supply and demand' tactic, then and only then will the Nintendo following be so happy to pay £250+ for them.

Then everyone will buy PS4/ Xbox One

expire it then, no real issue to me

Different perception for different people, some will automatically see it as a 'wild goose chase' anybody with half a bra......the rest will see it as a nice heads up for a possible purchase, don't let them get to you

Even with 32GB you'll need a HDD eventually.

Not if you only purchase physical Wii U games and download small DLC packs and whatnot.

From 2013-2015 I downloaded a bunch of demos which I played & removed from time to time, paid for MK8's DLC bundle, Mario Vs. Donkey Kong NES, Child of Light and the TV apps.. think I have like 18-20 GB free still. Not planning on using them any time soon, unless Nintendo made a shockingly awesome eShop deal.

None in the Oldham stores or Middleton. Said they've had loads of people coming in asking but they all went by Tuesday. So unless you live in a area where there are quite a few tescos or in the middle of nowhere, it's gonna be hard to find one.
I guess if I REALLY wanted one, I woulda gone Monday night when I saw this deal or even Tuesday morning. Only went to these stores as they were on my journey lol. Ah well.

Great console and a great game, a tonne of variety, all pretty much bizarre (a horse sunning it up on a lilo in a pool is the norm). Got far more use than my PS4 the past year.

I've commented before on tesco chases calling them BS and whatever, so not really bothered what is said. I got one and thats good enough for me, if someone else bothers to check the premiums too and they get one then good.

Got one cheers mate for posting the TRUTH if only the Tesco store staff on the phone would have the same values! The manager I spoke to was Nice instore, as of this morning 2 left at Rutherglen! Fantastic price for the Wii-U 32gb Premium Pack with Lego Undercover Thanks also to the OP! I phoned around most stores in Scotland, no luck apart from Rutherglen. Noticed a few comments above saying they got one in anlther Scottish store, some staff must be lying on the phone then! So I urge antyone who wants to try and bag a total bargain go into the store and ask the manager to check if they have the Wii-U pack for £84!

I hate them too.. complete degenerates.... someone should start a NAME AND SHAME TOPIC/forum to name and shame these people and where they sell. A great example is Smash bros gamecube adaptor and pikmin 3. If we act as a group then perhaps there will be less of these hoarders.

My view - BUY WHAT YOU WANT/NEED, DO NOT BUY TO DEPRIVE SOMEONE ELSE TO MAKE ££!
