Released Friday. £5 cheaper than the Game option, so maybe time to get those orders cancelled and re-ordered.

STAR FOX ZERO - FIRST PRINT EDITION CONTAINS:
-Star Fox Zero Steelbook Case
-Star Fox Guard Game
-Star Fox Zero Game

Fox, Falco, Peppy and Slippy save the Lylat system in this new deep space dogfighting adventure. Using the Wii U GamePad controller and the TV together creates a unique interface that allows players to experience the game with two different viewpoints within the Arwing – aim and shoot enemies in one direction while flying in another. This frees up the TV for a more cinematic flight experience. Then, pilot the Arwing with its new Walker transformation, along with the new Gyrowing and the Landmaster Tank, to traverse interplanetary terrain.

Just had my £49.99 copy shipped direct from nintendo. Thankfully, the free t-shirt should go some way to soften the blow of the extra fiver!

Thanks for the heads-up. I completely forgot to make my Game order. This is much better!

    EDIT: Also, don't forget Topcashback's 5.05%!

On a small plus side, Star Fox Zero Guard is a physical copy with the first print edition...otherwise it's a digital only purchase...

    From Nintendo UK website:

From 22nd April, Wii U owners can pick up Star Fox Zero and Star Fox … From 22nd April, Wii U owners can pick up Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Guard in a limited First Print Edition including both games on separate Game Discs, and an exclusive SteelBook® case. This package is the only way to get a physical copy of Star Fox Guard, so collectors won’t want to miss out. Star Fox Guard will also be available as a download code at retail. Meanwhile, those who purchase one title from Nintendo eShop can get a discount of £3.00 / €5.00 off the other, bringing the total price of both games to £49.98 / €59.98. Anyone who wants to get into training can pick up the Nintendo 64 game Star Fox 64, available now in Nintendo eShop for £4.49 / €4.99 (regular price £8.99 / €9.99) until 23:59 (local time) on 21st April 2016

Yup, a true limited edition. Which, in this day and age, actually means something!

Gone down to £42.97 now. I'm really not sure about this, apparently the controls are pretty bad. Ordered anyway

Shock news! GAME tell lies! Stop the press Would always rather order from Gamestop than GAME anyway, especially as I'll only get charged once for it

I know, just annoying that they can advertise "exclusive to game" etc … I know, just annoying that they can advertise "exclusive to game" etc when in fact they have no control over who buys what from each supplier. I got lucky on the mario maker order off them last year, ordered one, they cancelled and refunded me but still sent it anyway.Emailed them asking for the difference to be refunded or a returns label to be provided due to the false advertising.

Maybe they will email you back asking for their copy of Mario Maker X)

Reviews are pretty average so far. Although I kind of thought that would be.

I'll definitely hold out for a very cheap solus version some point down the line.

Seems to be getting pretty good scores, quick search shows mostly 7s/70% to 9s/90%. Good price and heat added but think I will wait for a cheaper deal on Zero, Guard is only £12.99 on eShop.

£42.97 ? Why did only take a £2 drop to make me order? Doh! 5.25% cashback too with TopCashBack

Thanks for that. The issue I have with these games is not about how good the gamepad screen controller is for playing them, but that you are forced to use the gamepad controller, that sucks. This has been a real Wii U/Nintendo failure for these 2 top titles.

I am guessing there is no local multiplayer option for Star Fox then? Which will also suck big time.

Have you played/enjoyed any of the Star Fox games in the past? Did you enjoy them?

Those with GAME orders on the way - it's very easy to return, especially if you have a local store (though if you've paid with PayPal, returns have to be via the post). My copy's on its way from the Nintendo UK official store and while I'd probably have opted for this over their £50 including a T-shirt, I'm not particularly unhappy about it.

Yes I have played them on SNES,N64, GameCube and 3DS. Loved them. Just not sure I'll play it that much right now because of PS4 backlog. I'll no doubt open it when it's £25 everywhere (_;)

If you're after the "First Print" edition, that may never happen. Of course, if the solus edition is enough for you, that £25 will be much more achievable.
