Make it clear that this is NOT Xiaomi Pad 6! It's a new release of Redmi Pad PRO, which is a lower-range tablet. Having said that looking at the specs, it beats out everything at this price range for a 12" screen, including Honor Pad 9 (edited)

Use code RedPAD for £20 off, but can't seem to use both so the 10% voucher is better (edited)

Thanks for the video that helped me made my mind up to get the Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro Instead of the honor pad 9.

all specs good but when you meet that LCD screen......and screen is where you look all day long when using a tablet
    wilburscoville9191's avatar
Tempted by this but not sure I'd appreciate the benefits over a Honor x9 using it purely for watching movies? I think i have read that the x9 won't play high resolution at 2k?

    Ordered the 8gb version.

Same here just ordered the 8gb version In Ocean Blue colour. Just what I was looking for to do media like edit my YouTube videos etc. Been looking for a new Android tablet for a week and glad I found this one.

Great to see Xiaomi once again offering fair value for the specifications.
Great screen size for this price.

I got a Xiaomi Pad 6 for under £200 when eBay was flooded with them. Custom ROM on it within a month. So those worrying about updates. It should be ok because it's a snapdragon and also cheap so the Indians will buy it. They love a custom ROM. Got crdroid on the pad 6.

Indians love custom ROMs. Everyday is a school day i guess.

I didn't have a 10% discount... now I get a 15% discount. Possibly only for those who did not have the 10% discount code !

I bought yesterday using the 10% coupon and now have been given the 15% one. Very annoying.

I paid this for the standard model no case or buds either will have to put it on eBay and go for this as it's a cracking deal.
    gazt1888's avatar
    It's just a pad pro with 6gb ram. It's not a 6 pro
  12. Darthballs's avatar
    It's not a 6

This or the recent £186 Amazon deal for HONOR Pad 9, 12.1-inch Wi-Fi Tablet, 8GB+256GB ?
Help appreciated please, as I may send the Honor back, as I'm not a fan of the overall software interface when compared to Xiomi's (edited)
    Mark727's avatar
Honor pad 9 Is better for that price. The redmi pad pro has a bigger battery and very slightly better chipset. But the honor pad 9 has more ram/storage and a better camera. Both are fairly similar tbh
  14. Milstore's avatar
Does this come with a keyboard cover or just a standard cover? The website only shows photos of a keyboard cover yet the description on the website only states cover, no ‘keyboard cover’? Thanks!
  15. kratos2019's avatar
unless a 12inch screen is something u really need, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is more powerful.
    kkwiatkowski's avatar
Yeah and £95-£68 more expensive (edited)

Hello folks, I was hoping to buy a galaxy tab s9 (when Samsung have a sale on) but this tablet is a lot cheaper! Does anyone know how this might compare features wise with the s9 tablet? (edited)
    fort's avatar
S9 has better cpu, oled screen and AI features
  18. sonicclassic's avatar
I was about to ordered the Honor 9 Pad until I saw this just now. Should I go for this Instead or the Honor 9 Pad? Thanks.
    wilburscoville9191's avatar
This is almost twice as much money though so depends on whether the Honor x9 is sufficient. I'm undecided but may risk ordering a refurbished Lenovo P11 Pro from onbuy.com for £170. Unsure.
  19. sparkesrig's avatar
How does this compare to Xiaomi pad 6
  20. craigmcintosh_2's avatar
Does anyone know how many years of support this will get? Need a new tablet but finding it hard to justify anything other than an iPad as they actually get proper software support.

I'm in no way an apple fan but it is one thing they certainly get right.

From the review in the OP's post
When it comes to updates, the Redmi Pad Pro will get two platform updates along with three years of security updates. That is in line with other budget tablets, but considering Xiaomi's lackadaisical attitude when it comes to platform updates, the tablet is unlikely to make the switch to Android 15 sometime this year — or even in Q1 2025. That said, at least you'll get the update at some point, as well as Android 16 when that becomes available.

What is the best non iPad pad? So many out there I'm confused. Mostly for streaming apps and playing word games. Nothing intense
    Guy_With_Beard's avatar
    Probably anything by Samsung.
  24. Spudfunkle's avatar
Does it come with the pen?
    Guy_With_Beard's avatar
    No.

Update - For those having trouble getting the 10% off coupon, try creating a new account. I tried this last night and there was no voucher, yet this morning it is and I've just completed my order.

Anyone tried to use Skygo on this tablet. I can't get it to run. It opens, then crashes.

Is the pad any good for likes of cloud gaming if you are using Xbox pass?

Can anyone recommend a matte screen protector from experience for this? I'm looking to use it for reading books/mags and the reflections could be an issue in brighter light.
    wilburscoville9191's avatar
I'm also interested to know this. I haven't opened mine yet to check out the reflections. Have you tried yours?
