Ugreen usb-c multifunction adapter 10 in 1 - cm179 heats up + audio jack does not work

Does anyone had the same experience with the 3.5mm audio jack on the uGreen USB C 10-1 that doesn't seem to work?
Any tips/ideas on how to make it work?
I tested it on Macbook Air it heats up even on using USB A for basic optical mouse.
