LEGO® Bee: Sign up for Tuesday, April 5 or Wednesday, April 6.

Learn how to build a cool mini model at the store, and take it home after – for free! Quantities are limited and offer is good while supplies last only. Models must be built in store, are not for sale and cannot be purchased. Ask a Brick Specialist for details.

Due to safety and build experience standards, builders must be between the ages of 6-14 to participate. The mini model must be completely built in store. Registration is on a first come first serve basis and quantities are limited. Stores will no longer accept walk ups on the night of the event.

    It usually falls on the first Thursday of the month for the Manchester store unless it has changed.

    I think this applies only to the US for registering first. We just turn up at Manchester on first Thursday of each month and never have had any issues?

    Is this a change in policy for the monthly mini-build? Previously you just turned up between 4-6pm on the first Thursday of the month.... now you have to be a VIP member and register in advance?

    There is an equivalent UK page for signing up here but it's also still being advertised as a just turn up event on the first Thursday of the month here and here

    EDIT: looks like this change is US only so far (link) but I guess it might be coming here soon.

    Heat added. But it sucks that you have to be a certain age and turn up at a set time and date. I'd rather spend X and get this free.
