About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
I've done the classroom based teaching and the online courses with this training company (Commsupport), but now they're teaching the Cisco CCNA course for free. It's a proper course with a qualified instructor and live network kit.
It's a really good deal, and most CCNA courses can cost a few hundred quid to a grand, so this is definitely a huge bargain if you're in the market to do a course, improve your skills or get into IT.
The course is on-line and delivered by a live instructor. It's all free. You just have to register before the next course starts on the 20th of January.
The link to register is:
www3.gotomeeting.com/reg…678
The course is 5 weeks, 5 sessions per week from 9:30pm until 11:00pm Monday to Friday.
Enjoy guys!!!!

sorted byIts well worth doing, it probably wont open any doors, 10 years ago or more any Cisco qualification was a real bonus.
Well, you bloody can't. You need a passion for Hardware.
Do you have to attend the live sessions or will they let you register and watch them later?
Though if you keep passing other exams on the same level or higher they keep renewing previously passed exams
You'd be surprised at how bad some IT Pro's are, MCSE or not. Some very dangerous people out there. Then again I'm sure there are conmen in all professions.
Anyone thinking of doing this take a look at GNS3/Dynamips to support the learning. gns3.net/
I'd have finished my CCNA years ago but it only lasts for 3 years and i'm still in uni and last year was hell in terms of work load.
If you're going to actually dedicate time and money into this then i'd advice buying 2 2950 cisco switches and 2 2650xm cisco router, that way you can run VLAN's with VTP and RIP/OSPF/EIGRP etc... network setups.
thats because so many braindump
I know a couple of people who braindumped and I wouldn't let them log into a workstation nevermind a server
BUT.......DON'T WORRY
WE HAVE SCHEDULED A NEW FREE LIVE ON-LINE CCNA CLASS FOR YOU
You can enrol now for the Free Live On-line CCNA starting on the 24th of Feb 2014 now
I have done a range of the Microsoft certifications to date and if anything the cost is rising to meet growing demands for IT Training.
I have just got back off a 3k 2 week course on Exchange 2013 (MCSE:Messaging) and I can recommend MVA website, it is fantastic for free learning despite no certification at the end. It has thousands of videos and advice on all different areas from industry professionals. It massively gave me a head start in my course as the online videos covered 50% of the course meaning first week I could look into stuff more relevant to me.

dirge above mentioned gns3.net/ which is just awesome if you don't have real kit. highly recommended and FREE!!!!!
This is why i've stuck to a CSc / IT degree and i'll aim for a CCNP within 2 years of graduating, sadly it's hard to even get into an entry-level job, never mind the ones that pay you like 14k and say you need previous experience!!
It seems MCSE is popular nowadays but in terms of dificulty i'd put that below CCNA, with the MCSE it's obvious as if you've been using 'Windows NT' for a while you get an idea of where everything is, I've been using XP since I was 9 so to me personally it's obvious.
What about software?
It would be hard to get a job with either no experience or higher education with just this cert. Although it's a really good exam, there are too many paper certs out there for companies to take a chance.

However these certifications are not really worth anything any more - there is just too much cheating going on. The skills they teach are useful though, just need to take this into account if you're planning to take the exam.
