    This is one of my favourite piano pieces. Unfortunately, not only is the quality awful but the player is not very emotionally connected to the work though he is somewhat technically proficient. Compare to Alfred Brendel's performances for example and you'll see what I mean.

    not voted hot or cold, at the end of the day it's free. but, only 128kbps. for classical i'd only go for FLAC or at the worst 256/320kbps.
    no offence intended to OP and don't wanna sound too fussy, but 128 is pretty low quality

    I agree, I think with classic music, low bitrate MP3 becomes really noticeable and distracting. Even 192 would be a major improvement over 128kbps.

    Brendel is a genius but not Free
    I suppose if you listen to this version and then buy Brendel if you like the piece.
    I never expect that much from free versions but I did think the previous Rachmaninov
    freebie was a really great version.
    These get updated every 2 weeks , so I'll post that when It gets posted.
