Think about getting an Iphone

Hi guys, after playing with my brothers Iphone i've been bitten by the bug and now want one for myself.Only problem is that I wouldn't use the phone enough to warrant getting a contract so i'm thinking of getting a used one and getting an o2 sim with the 12 months internet.
So I have a few questions, should I go the 2g or 3g route, is the browsing speed noticable? My other reservation is with the headphones, I believe the 2g has an odd input, can this be remedied?

Thanks for any input.

Wait for the possible new released iphone june time

    EDIT:
just seen you don't want contract so a new released one may be too pricey for you
so defo go 2nd hand 3g route

    Definitely 3g you say?
Where am I best looking, I had a quick look on ebay but there's alot of Chinese fakes on there, doesn't fill me with confidence.

Hi mate, i bought a 2g 8gb off ebay on saturday, got it for a bargain mind.
Anyhoo, im loving it so far, the wifi is good, the apps are good also.
There isnt much difference between the 2g and the 3g, bar the 3g network capability, its 1g lighter, some may say a better looking rear.
It all depends on what you need it for.

I'm going on holiday in around 10 days, going to see what its like abroad for the 2 weeks if it doesnt do enough or whatever then i will sell it.
But at the mo, im loving it.

Would wait on Junes new release, I would advise you second think it on the basis of what you will use it. Read up on problems too. I have one, I like it don't get me wrong, but I could live without it.
