Has anyone ever bought anything from www.starlight-time.co.uk?

Starlight Time looks like they sell frangrances and other things.. very cheap.
I couldn't find anything about them online so was wondering if anyone knew anything about them here.

Post 2 was enough info to not trust the site.

Starting to lose my faith in common sense when people are still asking if It's legit

Who wants to join me in a 'Watchdog' petition for this company? They are taking our hard earned cash for nothing in return apart from stress and tears!

@dcx_badass, you have just single-handedly stopped me from ordering from this site, THANKYOU!

I just hope everyone else sees' this site before they place an order too. Thought the website couldn't be real, looks like a 12-Year-Old has made it in an ICT lesson!

Well i found the site this morning....thought it too good to be true so then found the blog, very informative....obviously not ordering now but do think Google could be policed better so as not to have a site like starlight so close to the top, in fact not to have the site at all if so dubious it requires a blog!. thank you all for saving my money.

I too was wondering about this website, they sell very cheap perfumes and thought this might actually be a scam because of there stupidly low prices! I looked them up on the internet but cant find any information about them either. I've emailed them as well but have had no response! I think this website is definitely a scam and i would avoid it! Just out in a few extra quid and buy it from ebay! Ive been buying perfumes from there for low prices and they they have all been 100% genuine and authentic!

You can't even read the headings on the menu across the top. It's like scam sites can't even be bothered to make the effort

I just made the mistake of buying aftershave at Starlight Time, before I … I just made the mistake of buying aftershave at Starlight Time, before I saw these messages! I received it last week, but my partner only opened it today for his birthday. The L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme we received is definitely a fake, the bottle has rough edges and the top is cheap. The box looks good and it's all wrapped in cellophone, the only thing that didn't look quite right is the writing on the box which, whilst the same text, isn't quite printed right (some characters seem slightly highlighted). I rang Starlight and left a message, then also emailed. They did reply to my email almost immediately with a reply that they buy in bulk and are assured they are genuine. They asked me to return it and they would send me a full refund. I'm very wary about returning it though as then I won't have either my fake bottle or my refund! I've emailed again and will see what they say.

Just as a follow-up to this: I received a pre-paid label to return my bottle, which I sent back. I received an email the next day saying they would be refunding my money, and within 5 days it was in my account. So whilst it was obviously a fake bottle I did receive my refund in full without any hassle.

THESE GUYS ONLY SELL FAKES. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. THREE TEST PURCHASES AND ALL FAKE. THEY ARE TRYING TO TAP INTO THIS SITE FROM VARIOUS ACCOUNTS LIKE THE TWO PREVIOUS POSTS. IF YOU LIKE CHEAP FAKE UNTESTED PRODUCTS THEN GO FOR IT. THEY MAY EVEN REFUND YOU IF YOUR NOT HAPPY! JUST GO TO A PROPER SHOP.

Thanks to everyone who has took the time to add your valuable comments, however its amazing to see that so many people are still reading the comments on here and still thinking that when they receive there fragrance/perfume it will be the real deal...I recently got back from Turkey and the amount of "genuine" perfumes/fragrances that they try selling face to face is unbelievable…so WHY people believe it is impossible to scam people over the internet is bemusing!!!

I work closely with trading standards and the amount of fake goods that come into the UK and sold in such a way is unreal….

BUYERS BE WARNED - FOR THE EXTRA COUPLE OF £ YOU MAY HAVE TO SPEND ON THE HIGH STREET OR GENUINE INTERNET SITE WILL BE MUCH MORE WORTH IT!!!!!!!

I'm glad i checked out this review site first, was gonna buy armani code but i got a bad feeling about the site so i looked for reviews. It looks really unprofessional and i read the terms and conditions on the site, something doesnt quite add up, think i'll give it miss!

Just stumbled across this website when searching for Bose headphones. As mentioned by others, I was not convinced by the look of the site, so tried researching the site. The website has been blacklisted by Monster Cables (link below) for selling fake goods, so obviously should be avoided. Hope this helps.

Guys not having a go, it must be crap getting scammed but these sites only exist because people are gullible enough to purchase from them. Just look at the website, grammar, mobile number for contact details.

Avoid this company like the plague!! You get what you pay for and I paid £24.99 for Eternity 100mls. Delivery was quick but as soon as I opened the package the smell hit me. The box was damaged. The perfume had leaked. The top was off. The liquid is pink and cloudy. It is NOT Eternity. Had real difficulty contacting the company as most of the captcha images would not register. After sending 6 successful emails over several days I got no reply. Finally, I told the company they had one more day to contact me or I would contact the relevant authorities, Hot UK Deals and Consumer Direct and report them. Lo and behold, a couple of hours later i received an email from a James Russell telling me they had issued my refund and they were sorry they took so long to respond but they are busy with the Christmas rush. Ive just checked my bank and ive been refunded. Remember, if something seems too good to be true it usually is?! I have learned my lesson :-)

    UPDATE

No item, no refund, no reply to emails sent (4 in last 3 days) after reciveing two from this guy stating i was getting a refund due to lack of supplies, or was it that they had been delivered on 6th Nov (NO THEY HAVENT) ooooh im confused!
so i am now contacting Trading Standards and Credit Card Fraud to report this company. James Russell if you are reading this i suggest you contact me or reply to my emails asap. I want my money back please!!!!

FYI shoppers - FAKE DRE headphones are circulating from Thailand, they are obviously fake and you can tell this as they have connections to both ears and not just the one which the originals feature! you can get them for about £25 ive seen them!! Be carefull what you buy kids!

Wow........was just about to order some aftershave from them but thought I'd check it out on here if the Site was heard of & their reputation as the prices seemed a too good to be true! Needless to say no order placed!!!!!

    I LOVE HUKD!!!!!!!!!
  18. deleted108275's avatar
My biggest issue with sites like this (starlight, not HUKD) is that price comparison sites like google product search continue to list fake sites in their results. This leads to half the problems in the first place. If they werent on price comparison sites then people would never hear of them.

This thread shows how many stupid people there are around though. Anyone with a positive experience from this place has signed up just to leave one comment about their fantastic purchase, its painfully embarrasing Starlight.

Members - please stop asking questions about if they are legit, there not. its obvious. Your more likely to get a genuine perfume buying off my mate Dave down the local.

Yes they are fake at that price! Even on eBay there are fakes going around and as mentioned before it's the connection in both ears - it should only be one. You should watch them and everything-tech.co.uk they are the same Fake.com!! If you want quality that will last try HMV, what protection is there with these company if they go wrong?? I'd rather spend more & know I have warranty etc... Plus starlight-time is actually blacklisted on the monster beat site.
  20. deleted463088's avatar
Same as most of the sensible people on here, I saw the site on google search, thought the prices were a dead giveaway & googled the address - wouldn't have bought from a site looking like that anyway though but I have to say that this thread has been entertaining while I ate my lunch to say the least.. dcx_badass - I don't know if you are a bloke or a lass but massive kudos to your responses! All of the comments that are positive about this company are obviously written by the owner or employees - the language, the mannerisms are all so blatently obvious... what I don't get is why people are STILL posting asking if the site is real?! Surely you have read at least a handful of the previous posts?! Stop being thick!

Ive used them and they are genuine as i live up the road from them. So … Ive used them and they are genuine as i live up the road from them. So dcx_badass you are wrong!

If you live up the road from them please let us all know the address as I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be interested in that!

So glad I found this website. Saw some perfume at nearly half the price of everywhere else. Don't think my sister would have been impressed with a fake.

    Hi

I ordered from A-Bit-Of-Magic and received my John Paul 'GAULTTER' Classique on Monday, didn't notice anything at first, then later I looked at it more closely and noticed the spelling was incorrect on the 'can' but cleverly done. I've not even opened it so it's still sealed.

I gave them 24 hours to respond and yesterday contacted Trading Standards who have taken all details.

I received an email late yesterday asking me to return it for a refund and also for them to take it up with their suppliers, which I shall ignore for the moment as I want to keep the item in case it is required for evidence.

Trading Standards (Kent) should be contacting me within the next 5 days and will hopefully take things further, I am prepared to forfeit my refund if it means that something is done about it and other unsuspecting 'victims' are not duped into lining the pockets of those who have no qualms about ripping people off.

~but i dont understand why sum1 would set up a website to rob people.. isn't there any laws out there that could stop em.. If its been setup from march then surely by now they'd have it down.

Registered to a house in Dover and only set up at the end of March, I'd … Registered to a house in Dover and only set up at the end of March, I'd avoid.Just been on the site, it's so unprofessional it's insane, it's laughable that you even asked.Lol, the site is registered to a completely different address to the one their contact us lists.

Can you confirm if you've had any response from starlight-time.co.uk following your aftershave purchase?
  35. deleted389372's avatar
I have never had any major problems with Starlight-time, I have purchased two items for birthday presents, the Issey Summer edition (which I would recommend buying from anywhere) and Hypnotic - I had one small problem delivery time was not 3 days it arrived on the 5th day but I did receive a dispatch email 2 days after I ordered items.

Hi, can I ask what colour the real fierce cologne is? I received my a&f cologne today from the starlight time....

I have had a genuine one before but cant for the life of me remember what colour it was.

This is Dann2707 (posted earlier) but now im on another email as my other one wouldn't work for some reason.

I actually recieved an email from starlight time along with a refund saying pretty much that I am not allowed my order because I have been slagging the company off on here. Thought this was absolutely pathetic and didn't even know companies are allowed to do that? Simply for a post on a forum

It is clear to me what has happened, they know I am going to complain even more so on here when I get my aftershave and it is a fake so obviously they are staying clear of customers who they know will complain on internet forums! If that makes sense

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!
