At the bookies? You won't hold it for long though

Saw this little fellow in Chessington last year, he was funny, holding my finger etc, just fascinating.

If monkey world no longer do the interactive stuff, I only know of lemur close encounters at Cotswold Wildlife Park (I know it's not a monkey, and no, I'm not a lemur freak, but it's so cool being cm's away from them with no bars!)

not sure about holding but loads of places you can spank one

Why do you always have to lower the tone?

    Nope http://www.monkeyworld.org/frequently-asked-questions

We do not allow visitors to hold or touch any of the primates

Depends on their age and how much evidence you have before formally charging them...

I was going to suggest monkey world too.
I remember going when I was small, and a lemur sat on my mum's shoulder and I totally freaked out!

They also have a troop of ring-tailed lemurs running around in there, but didn't really get a good enough pic of them!

    They weird looking things.

I would do longleat, but the thought of having my car ruined by those monsters there puts me off slightly.

I know Isle of Wight zoo do a 'zookeeper for a day' package, it's expensive but you get to go behind the scenes, feed the animals etc, I'm sure you could phone and ask them.

There is a Shadow a Monkey Keeper experience at Paradise Wildlife Park but I'm not sure if you get to hold one, might be worth a call? pwpark.com/exp…nce

Don't think there is anywhere in the UK to be honest. Monkey forest in Trentham stoke allows you to walk around their enclosure and they walk right up to you but you can't hold them obviously

I am monkey mad too , so we went to Gibraltar and it was fab. I could sit watching them all day. You dont get to hold them as such but they do jump all over you. I had 2 babies on my back fighting at one point and my husband had one de fleaing his hair lol. I also saw a huge one jump onto a ladies back and clasp its hands round her face and boy did she freak. They can also smell food or sweets a mile off, they were raiding handbags and pockets too.

It was amazing, we sat in the cafe at the top of the rock and watched a big one open the door, leg it inside and snatch a couple mars bars before making a hasty retreat. The cafe owner was screaming at it but it was soo funny.

They were at our hotel everyday raiding the bins from the kitchen and swinging round the balconies. Just a tip if you do manage to go, keep your balcony door shut as they like shiny things, especially jewellery.
