Might have been easier to advise Royal Mail, and pay whatever fee it is now they charge to have your post forwarded to your new address, then contact e2save in the next few weeks..........

hanif,
It is an unfair contract term.

Write them and see what they say, if they insist that you have lost your cashback, you will have to take them to the court.

Did you do this?

Change of Address
We don’t have a problem with you changing your address. Please email: addresschange@mycashbackclaim.com

If so and you've followed all other t&c's then there's no reason for them not to pay. Personally I'd phone and ask a manager to phone you straight back so you don't have to pay the expensive phone bill. Spend about half hour talking to them and see if you get anywhere. If not then take legal action, or burst into a cpw store and take what you're owed?

To be honest I have only had one phone from e2save and I returned it. But that was because I hated the Samsung D600

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Delivered next day
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
No phone was a refurb and was in perfect condition and was unlocked
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
N?A
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
When I called to return the phone they were very helpful. OK they did try to sell me another phone (i.e. a swap) but they could not get me a refurb K750 so gave me the RMA number and advised me that the easiest thing to do was drop it into my nearest CPW shop, thus saving me the return postage costs
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
No
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
Yes

i had 1 contract with e2s in Dec2004, which ended Dec2005. online order was fine. had problem using the referral link to recommand a friend.

referred 1 friend, needed to chase them up more than a few times after the official 45days on connection. they also got messed up with the amount, which only paid me £20, but at the time of referral it was £30. after a few further chases, they send me another £10 for the difference.

now i just use QuidCo instead, which offers more cashback then their own referral program.

a few friends of mine ordered their (and cpw and osps) clearance deals earlier this year, but the quality of the phones were appalling! still faulty, wrong charger, clear cosmetic defects. they are clearly not in the state to resell. wonder how effective is their quality inspection, or it was done in purpose!?

I used e2save a good while back now.

I got all of the cahsback okay, the phone was delivered next day, customer services were quite helpful.

I lost one of the cheques they sent me so they offered to replace it. I didn't receive it but I guess I shouldn't have lost it in the first place!!

Reliable company IMHO.

Was this today Woodstock?? o2 often change the commissions they give to retailers at the start of each month, so this could have affected orders from last month.

Otherwise, that's not very good.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?

Yes (next day delivery on the initial order after lengthy/costly call to repeat details I had entered onto website during the order). 2 returns took 6-7 days each.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

Yes - The phone was faulty, by the time the return was processed I had passed the 7 day cancellation period. The second phone was also faulty & this time it took 6 days for a replacement. I was told that I would not be able to exchange it if it was faulty again and i would have to send it to Nokia. With this advice I never turned the phone on and sold it as 'new' on ebay.
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

n/a (I deliberately picked a non cashback/vodafone offer)

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

Lengthy hold guaranteed everytime, poorly informed staff, I received emails from a person that had left the company some while ago.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

Honesty - too much of a coincidence being asked if I had ordered a 'clearance refurbished phone' each time I called to return my phone. This is a top of the range Nokia, I had to buy a PAYG handset from amazon to use my ported number. I've paid a months rental but never used y chosen handset.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

NEVER! I'll buy over the counter or Orange direct next time (never from any carphonewarehouse franchise). Truly awful.

I saw a deal for a Sony Ericsson deal on HotUKDeals, so decided to take it up (through Quidco) with e2save.

I placed the order not last Saturday, but the Saturday before. The website took the order and said the phone would be with me by last Tuesday. Last Tuesday came, no phone. I looked at the order status, which said that they were trying to locate stock. Later that day, a text message came asking me to call them to confirm some details with them. I rang, did that, the woman on the phone said she would call me back that day after contacting Vodafone. She didn't.

On Thursday, I called again - the guy I spoke to said he would contact Vodafone and definitely call me back within 15 minutes (this was before noon). He didn't.

At 3:30 I called them again and asked what was going on. The guy contacted Vodafone while I was on the phone and he said the contract was approved, but that they still didn't have stock of the k750i and tried to sell me another phone. I said I would think about it and call back.

I checked on their website and they still had offers on the k750i so I rang back in the evening and said to the salesman that I was interested in a k750i. He said that they had a few in stock, so I told him that I had an order awaiting stock and asked if he could fill that order and send one to me. He said he would check if he could do that, came back to me a while later and said yes. He said there would be an 80% chance it would be with me on Saturday and it would be 100% definitely with me by Monday. Well it's Monday and I still have no phone.

I'm really annoyed that they say a phone would be with you on a particular day even if they don't have stock. The idea that they don't know what stock they have is so ridiculous I can't believe it. In fact, I think they are dishonest to offer phones on their website that they know they can't deliver. The guy on the third phone call I made said that the k750i was being discontinued and that they might not get stock of it again, so I should buy a different (more expensive) deal. However, they are still offering the k750i on their website today.

All in all, I have found that not one single thing they have said or emailed to me has been able to be trusted. It has been a really disappointing customer service experience.

In particular, you should refer to the following aspects of your experience with them:

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
Yes, next day surprise!

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
Yes, the clearence handset ... the settings of the phone was not set to my network (lots of ringing ups for my net/wap access) and they may not have all the accessories for you

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action? Havent got that far yet.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
I was a little drunk one night and lost my phone. Had it for less than a month. e2save has a very speedy insurance claim procedure (I didnt even know I subscribed to it!) and I got my replacement phone immediately (just walk down to your local carphone warehouse store and they will give you a new one.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
8 out of 10, but I think they are doing very very well already.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?
Yes, definitely would recommend to others.

Just a suggestion on these helpful threads by Ducky,

Would it be possible to have some sort of a voting or a percentage for each supplier at the top of their relevant threads so members can easily see the results easily if they don’t want to go through each post.

In my opinion Mobileshop and E2save would have the top marks.

Thanks

My husband took out a contract in March on a deal which was supposed to give the first large cashback payment automatically after 30 days. It has now been 5 months and he still hasn't received this cashback (worth over £100), despite being assured on several occasions that the cheque was on its way. He has received the first cashback he had to claim using the redemption voucher though. Overall not particularly impressed - customer services only contactable by phone (never respond to emails) and don't seem to have a clue. Wouldn't use E2Save again.

Kept forgetting to post my recent dealings with e2save, so here goes:

I bought a clearance phone with 3 months free insuance, the phone itself was perfect, I'm pretty sure it was brand new (was in proper box and everything.

Only problem was one of the headphones was broken.
But I phoned up and they sent a replacement one out free of charge.

1 month later I got my phone stolen while at reading.

Tryed to claim on my free 3month insurance

No information of me being signed up for the insurance at all.

After a few phone calls they realised I should of had it and I was able to claim for my phone, few days later claim was sucessful.£50 excess! mind

But I did get a new phone although this one was a proper clearance phone.

I would recommend them, especially being part of Carphonewarehouse as I was able to go in one of their shops to make claim so I could get it done instantly and it was dealt with very quickly!

i ordered a phone last week, not much to say up to now other than i still haven't got it (networks fault). e2saves customer service took absolute ages to get on to otherwise once you get on they are quite nice, however are very strict on some rules (such as cannot speak to you unless you are the account holder, need some password thing) so it was fairly frustrating having to wait that time to be told this.

One thing that does look good is if you login to your e2save online account it tells you which bills to send in for cashback; genius idea, no more guessing and working out on a spreadsheet, it's telling me to send in Feb, June and October's bill, brilliant!

Phone was a clearance Samsung D600 on Canary 200.
Total for year should be £360.
Get automatically, £70@month 2.
£83.04 by April for Feb bill
£83.04 by June for Feb August
£83.04 by Oct for Dec bill

Total of some £319.12, so with quidco, means i should if i stay in tariff, pay £4.38 for the year!

Plus, they'll take photocopies and printouts of your bill, so i'll find out the date my bill is produced, print from web site, send to them, and that means no delay waiting for the postman, superb!

I went straight onto another retailer and got the same O2 contract WITHOUT needing a deposit .:xE2save are RUBBISH!:x

I must say that I was asked asked for a deposit, last year with phoneboxdirect, with o2. I was told that o2 have a very strict credit scoring procedure.
I just bought a 3 phone from e2save and was not asked for a deposit.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed? Got them to deliver for the day after next,, as I wouldn't be home nthe next day. It acame at 8:00 am.
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself? TGhe charger was bust. I had to buy a new one and will chase tghem up for a replacement.
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
I mentioned getting the quidco cashback and I was told that I would get more cashback if I went directly through them, within two months. I have yet to receive any cashback as I only took out the contract ten days ago.
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
VEry helpful. A bit over enthusiastic but fine!
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on? Can't think of anything
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally? Definitely

Can you elaborate on this? They would match or better the quidco cashback themselves? Are you sure you're not getting confused with the regular cashback?

Carphone Warehouse have been known to match quidco referrals a customer would of gotten via a deal online.
Friend ordered online with CPW, e-mail confirmed had differing details to the deal listed on CPW website, they called CPW to complain and they got an extra 2months half price, 1 month half price for the inconvienence, another 1month for the quidco they would of gotten online as the order done online was cancelled resulting on 12months half price with a free brand new SE K800i and a new deal was done over the phone custom for them.

So quidco can be matched/beaten in a way depending on how nice the retailer is and more importantly if they recognise quidco at all I imagine.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?

I ordered in July, and I have nothing.. its October. Take a guess.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?

They claim there is no stock of my e900 refurbished, and told me "2 weeks more" everytime I called up for the last 3 months.

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

Did get QuidCo cash fine, but never even got round to doing cashback - nothing has arrived.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

Horrible customer service - kept on fobbing me off with this "2 weeks" business. When I asked why they were still selling the e900 refurbished on their website if they didn't have any stock, and I hadn't had my unit in 3 months, I was actually hung up on. Not kidding.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?

See above.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

Never. Definitely not.

I am having a problem with the cash back, should have got the first cash back 4 months ago, but still havent received after about 10 phone calls and a letter to head office(no reply after 1 month), trying to sort this out over the phone is very frustrating as they can only cancel the cheaue and request a new one which they say will take upto 60 days, so you have to wait 60 days and then it still doesnt turn up. I am afraid i will have to take legal action, which is annoying as it is only £80.
