Jump to unread Post a CommentI extended my Argos reservation over the phone today. But they have not emailed me to confirm this. Have other people who have extended their reservation been emailed? Thanks
Yeah I dont get this.. Does that mean if i have confirmation email but no reservation number I can still get one???
They only give you a reservation number if you have reserved a product, if you got a "Thank you for your reservation - no number" and the email states the following products were out of stock then its a generic out of stock email. There isn't one there for you, sorry.
Why tell me its ready to collect in store between Thursday - Tuesday?? WHy get my hopes up.. its really annoying man.
Loving the photoshop. Forgot to edit one MAJOR thing. The Cancel Items bit. Once Dispatched you can not longer cancel
lol photoshop fail
Please remember that these items have not yet been paid for. Please quote your reservation number at the store.

Similar warnings have been posted several times today, but the fact that a few people 'liked' your post I thought it was time to correct it. (Provided you're sensible) there's absolutely NO RISK with doing it this way. If you've ordered for home delivery you have a statutory right to return it for a full refund in seven days. Argos can't take that right away with any little snippets they might shove on their twitter feed or whatever, that's why its called a STATUTORY right! Delivery arrived and no price change? Wait six days and see if price changes, and if not return it still sealed up and absolutely get all your money back. Ordered for collection? Okay, wait until near to expiry of your reservation, and if price hasn't changed then simply don't collect the damned thing! You think Argos are going to pursue you to demand that you buy and collect the item? Nope - I'm happy to provide examples of reserving items and changing my mind and not collecting with absolutely no problems from Argos, meaning they've implied by conduct that they won't force sales.
You're not 'playing with fire', but you are risking not actually getting the item - Argos are entitled to take the item back and refund it but not offer it back to you at the lower price. Its more of a Heads I Win, Tails I Don't Lose thing. Please stop telling people not to risk it - you're potentially depriving your fellow HUKD'ers the chance of getting the item they want!
Bet you a HP Touchpad you don't!
WHY?
no chance

Not sure about the phone.
On twitter, you ask them about it, they follow you so you can dm them the details (so no one else can read the reservation no), they then dm you once they have completed the extension. No e-mail though, I don't think either would prompt one.
I *think* I got one. Had a confirmation email and the customer service girl said I was on the system and *should* get it. It was the *should* bit that worried me a bit. We'll see...
