I got mine from eBay. Universal ones aren't very good with compatibility. hardly any work with the LE651 series
I recommend just biting the bullet and getting the sharp ones; AN-3DG20-B or AN-3DG35
Where do you get the glasses from?
Good deal, I posted this a couple of months ago and I'm surprised to see the offer is still on. Here's the link to the previous thread discussing this tv if anyone wants anymore info: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sharp-39-full-hd-led-3d-ready-smart-tv-with-freeview-hd-100hz-refresh-rate-prc-direct-1774401

Heat added it's a 100Hz TV for anyone interested

Bought one of these last time it was on HotUK
The box lists 200hz and it has 4 HDMI ports.

Still looking for compatible 3D glasses as it doesn't come with any

Just seen this reviewBo Parbst reviewed the 39LE651 on 21/12/2013All in all I am satisfied with the 39LE651 as I just bought the TV set as my 4th TV (and the Price was good). But if I had seen the Picture before buying the set (which I normally do) I would have choosen another TV set/brand and paid that little extra. The LE651 is slow when starting up. When switching channals it takes an internity . The way the menues Works irritates me, but that is a matter of tast (I am used to Sony and LG Tv's). If you sit right i front of the monitor, the Picture is excellent (better than Samsung F5005) but if you look from any angle greater than 45 dgr, the colors fade (the Picture almost get blurred). I would never recommend this set as a primairy set, but as an additional TV it is okay.Overall-Rating: User rating for Sharp LC39LE651K: 3.0 Stars
How long is an "Internity" ? oO

Not as long as an eternity.
At least it was written bought instead of brought!

It gets Channals too X)
that is a matter of tast :p
Choosen oO
primairy
Good for wall mounting then :p
Only if you dont mind the menues :D
Hahaha you must be more bored than me! :D
So bored I am updating the Linux installation on my other computer

Which distro? Whilst we're being bored and completely off topic, I updated the ROM on my phone about 5 minutes before I went to bed last night. Being boring doesn't get anymore exciting than that!

Also 1) is it full 1080p HD 2) How does it preform, 3) there's no lan port?

Fine for the price but the smart hub will be pretty basic no doubt. The hitachi is proberly made in the same factory in Turkey as this. But £180 is not bad.

I think the main issue here is going to be updates, one day the iPlayer is not going to work etc. Its bad enough for big name manufacturers...
Reasonable price, but if you've ever seen inside a diigihome tv, it's shocking.

I repaired one I was given, it needed a new inverter transformer, and the internals of these are all modular, IIRC there were about 6 different boards inside, power to transformer to mainboard to tuner to sub board to inverter.

makes fault finding a complete nightmare as there is wires everywhere.
Cheaper on eBay @ £174.99 Inc. delivery.

would this work on a smart bluray player? save paying 20 odd quid for a specific dongle

I'd have thought the dongles for them would be brand specific like TV's are, that way the manufacturer gets a little more out of you if you decide you want a dongle for it.

I have the samsung ue32f5500, I think the only difference is that you don't require a dongle.

I purchased last week and I am very impressed with it!

The only difference according to which is the 5500 uses more energy and the 5300 sound quality is one star less. I guess the dongle is the main issue. I don't read too much into reviews when there is very little in it. Both the 5500 and 5300 scored the same at 60%
and came in at 4 and 5. Samsung took 4 out of the 6 positions so "I reckon she'll be right mate !!!
Looking forward to getting mine delivered..
same here.. Mine is also still showing "Delivery estimate Friday 14 Feb 2014 - Monday 24 Feb 2014 ". The dongle has been delivered last week itself.

Anyone recommend suitable Wall Brackets ?
Mine still showing "Delivery estimate Friday 14 Feb 2014 - Monday 24 Feb 2014 ". The dongle has been delivered so would be a pain to cancel the order now as I'll have to return it to get the full amount back.
Just had a email saying it wont be delievered until end of feb, start of march. Not going to wait that long for it
bear in mind this tv has an awful favorite channel facility in that you can sort your channels but it isnt reflected in the EPG or the +/- remote channel changes

pretty pointless then really ;)

Is there a reason this never went hot? It looks a fantastic bit of kit for the price and has everything (and more) I am looking for.

My requirements are

LED - Check
Full HD - Check
Microphone out - Check
Under £200 - Check
2 x HDMI - Check
A rated Energy saver - Check

I have no use for the smart TV functions whatsoever, I do not watch terrestrial TV or even sky, only the occasional Blur Ray and gaming. Primarily this will be used with my PS3 and soon my PS4......

OK I *think* it's the E3276 and you can get it unlocked here if I'm correct:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Unlock-Huawei-WiFi-E3276-Modem-E3272-4-LTE-Stick-Unlocking-Code-Fast-/161187254483?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item25878250d3

I got it unlocked for under £1.50. Google and you will see Kamlesh Kumar offering unlocking service. I paid via paypal and got 8 digit code within 2 hours. Unlocking is easy. I am using T-mobile sim with the dongle now.

Thanks,

am I correct with the model number?

Also did you need special software to change the apn settings?

I just emailed him model number, IMEI number and he sent me 8 digit code. I typed in the unlocking code and EE sim worked fine.I even did the factory reset as I forgot my wifi password but dongle was still unlocked! APN settings were set at "auto" so I didn't have to change anything but if you read the E8278 manual online, It tells you can change settings manually if you wish.

Why would gingerbread make a difference? This is a video player, the apps are secondary.
This is really good value for a HDR player.

"TizzBird transforms your TV in no time into an Internet PC with Android"

While you may use it only as a video player (in which case I'd question why you'd select this box at all), it certainly isn't branded as such.

quite often they come preloaded with credit. if not you can always topup the sims like any other pay as you go sim. £10 normally gets you 1GB data on O2. other networks vary.

I always warn people, stay clear from t mobile, they are the worst network going. They made several mistakes on my account and then refused to acknowledge them. When I won my case through ombudsmen they accepted to pay up but never actually did.

Customer service is the worst. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Yip, item is not activated according to T-Mobile and can't connect to signal.
I did ask Littlewoods about possible sim not being active a few days ago prior to it arriving and they replied saying there is no sim in this package. Absolutely hopeless.

Well I'm awaiting another email to tell me what they're going to do to resolve the problem (you can't advertise a 3gb dongle then say what 3gb, or can you?)

If it's advertised as having 3gb of Internet and it doesn't then I would say you are well within your rights to get a refund and I also apologize for post you a crappy deal.

Actually I lied. I bought it back in January 2010, nearly 4 years. It was actually £63.95 and was from Very which is/was part of the littlewoods group.

I'm pretty sure this product is from around 3-4 years ago or even more.
Word of warning, as the product is so old, T-Mobile would have deactivated the sim cards. T-Mobile won't help you anymore than saying the sim is deactivated and will advise you to return it back to the retailer.

You don't actually know that and I don't think littlewoods keep stock around for that long, but as it's advertised as having 3gb of Internet you would be well within your rights to return them.

Guess what. I actually do know that...
By previous experience. My brother bought it years ago from littlewoods direct and the sim was expired.
I have owned a few of the T-Mobile dongles and I am now on my 10th one.
The one you have posted is a huawei e1630 and is a old model. You can get faster 3g dongles with HSPA+ that will provide "21.1Mbps" speed.
I'm not holding you back. You are within your right of ordering it and having the hassle of returning it.
BTW I bought the 12 month version of this over 4 years ago from littlewoods direct when a user posted it on this very website for under £40, I seem to remember...

mines just gone to the bin. Utterly fed up with reconnecting. Thanks OP - a good find and was worth a shot; but for me, it didnt work out and I'm sticking to the MK802 now
Overheats and crashes after 30 mins use it seems; wifi G not N hence slowness. Good for tinkering but £6 more gets you a mk802 wayyy better
got mine and XBMC installed - terribly slow unfortunatly - but might be the XBMC version that doesnt support Android Mali400 acceleration (know previous version of android issue) - but not looking likley as my other stick (Klastor dualcore) works perfectly...

Any Freaktab images for this would be great!
Great buy if you just want to play content from usb stick to HDMI on TV. Plays all formats I have tried so far, remote is tiny!
my replacement arrived today, hopefully get to test it out tonight!

They've had these in my local tesco, Kidsgrove, for well over a year now on sale/price cut, at this price.

You are lucky then as I had to buy one for someone else about 6 months ago and I paid £5 for it at Tesco - maybe diff stores lower prices sooner/later.

Have to say had looked at this thread. Bought measy a2w dongle ll from futeko for £21.99..Have bought few things from futeko..always get great customer service. Dongle arrived today..well chuffed! can mirror content using miracast from my tablet..and watch large video files using ez cast in most formats. Lot more available than chromecast. .good quality for watching stuff.
I just use the Netgear PTV3000 and it works with screen mirroring on my laptop and my Samsung Tablet/phones. I use it to watch full HD movies on my 50 inch telly and it works flawlessly :)

Ordered this before I read this thread, Doh! I was hoping it would enable me to put xbmc on my TV, but it really is too laggy & jerky to be watchable. However for the price I'll keep it just to stream photos etc.

Also in Futeko's defence, I ordered yesterday afternoon & it arrived this morning!
Xbmc should with fine with most newer phones and tablets. Don't put to many skins and add ons or the size will be huge. Works fine with Miracast for hours of 1080p videos on my s4 to Netgear ptv3000 Miracast dongle.

Or use a tablet with HDMI out like the cheap Tegra note 7 where HDMI out works great. Android mini PC should work fine to but some of them don't have enough grunt and might struggle with xbmc

if you wan't xbmc on your tv have a look into raspberry Pi if you have some of the parts already you can get it for around £30, you can control it with a smart phone or tablet using the xmbc app, out of the box it supports h.264 , MPEG-4 ASP , and some DivX variants are supported, you can also buy VC-1 , MPEG2 , codecs for a couple of quid

Back up to £24.25 now, so deal needs to be expired. Thanks OP, I concurred, could not find this cheaper anywhere at all so I grabbed one. No idea why this got cold votes. Perhaps people don't actually know what it is?! Maybe they disagree about the fact that you usually need to buy this seperately after you've forked out for a Smart TV? That's no reason to vote cold. Items on this site should only be voted cold if people can post a link to the same item but cheaper. Welcome to the downside of HUK Deals!! Don't let it put you off though, keep posting deals.
Good price don't bother with cheap ones, they are not compatable and are a waste of money
This is what puzzles me about this website. Plenty of people voting cold, but has anybody posted a link to the same product available at a better price? I'd genuinely welcome it, if it helps make people aware of a better deal.

Bought for nearly 30 quid only 2 weeks ago after some extensive browsing. Didn't see anything close to this other than the out of stock Freemans one, and some on eBay that I didn't feel I could trust, but even they were more than this. Hot.

Hot from me too i also paid £31, 2 weeks ago. Cheapest i could find was £25 for a dodgy looking non samsung one on ebay but would prefer original. Works brilliantly too.

Dodgy one

Wifi dongles are about £4 on Ebay. Is there not a cheaper compatible one?

There's the 19.99 one on Amazon I mentioned. If you're skilled enough then you can always try your hand at hacking a non-Samsung dongle, but it's way beyond my capabilities. Not sure if I would be allowed to post a link to a page telling you how to do it, but just google "using non samsung wifi dongle" and you should find it, then you'll see what I mean.

None Tesco Metro at Holy Corner in Edinburgh - they told me they don't sell mobile broadband dongles at all.:(
None @ Extra Park rd, & Metro Liverpool city centre :(
Right, barcodes...

Huawei E1550 USB Modem
Three Product code 18754
Barcode 5013742147310

ZTE MF112 Dongle
Three Product code 17124
Barcode 5013742147310

Note the same barcode so probably all classed the same. The barcodes are the proper ones, not yellow reduced stickers.

Good luck!
SkyeVincent
Has anyone confirmed this? Does anyone know the barcodes for the devices and were they in the electricals department or in the "Phone Shop" part of tesco, i assume this was in a Tesco Extra.
Thanks!

Tesco Metro, in the quarter aisle they have for electronics. There were also bosch tassimo and Krupa dolce gusto machines for £49 I think so may be a metro clear out.
Phone shop in Tesco Extra in Trowbridge had not heard of this & had none other than at £40. :-(

I was really lucky and picked up one of these from ebay for under £10
but so far I haven't been able to use it. The requirements are so specific - for example your computer needs an Intel wireless card so even the latest Apples with Haswell won't work with it as they use Broadcom or something for their wireless

Just make sure whatever device you want to use works with this (for a PC that means downloading the Intel WiDi software from the intel website)
But the latest android TV devices also support WIDI and can be had for a little more (but do a LOT more!)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/JUSTOP-Streamer-Internet-Play---Great-Watching/dp/B006O8O2ME/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1384438594&sr=8-6&keywords=android+tv+4.2#productDescription

NB Latest Widi spec now supports Miracast, hence the Android option (which also supports Miracast at 4.2 and above)

Wouldn't buy anything from these cowboys! Sent a message through their website about price match on Saturday (16/11/13) night. As of yet no reply about price match. Contacted the sales telephone number today (19/11/2013) about price match, they will only price match the TV from competitor for £349 but would not offer anything as advertised here.. Your text here and no delivery, just collection.

Pretty much pants really.
Contacted John Lewis they priced match for £349 and offered FREE delivery + 5 years guarantee!
Thanks to OP. Picked up a customer return at RS Cheltenham. One adapter cable missing but otherwise as new.

Can;t recommend Giotec enough, and Asda still have the range on offer.. Only irritation is the dongle, and the fact that you can;t turn the console on with them.. Aside from that though, they're actually better made than the original PS3 controllers..
Oh afterglow are meant to be good aswell
Giotek are good when it comes to 3rd Party stuff and sometimes Madcatz, but I was surprised to see Sainsburys selling Orb accessories.
hotfinder
Wow. It's actually in my store but looks like a cheap ps2 controller game used to sell. Hate the dpad on it. I suppose you get warranty with Sainsburys though if it's not up to scratch. Hot

Which store? I actually quite like the dpad - more like a thumbstick than the DS3's and feels more precise to me. YMMV though
MoneyEyes
Saw this earlier, not a good price at all, ORB accessories are awful, Blockbuster used to sell them all the time.

That doesn't sound good - In your personal experience how long do the ORB controllers last? Which third-party controllers would you recommend?

Go for SAMSUNG LED.
At the moment SAMSUNG panels are top notch (LED series).

Sony and Panasonic they have some motion blur in common their new range of 2013 TVs.
Sony has to be the worse by far for motion blur.

For Plasma Panasonic.

These are made in Turkey by the same people who make Finlux TV’s and supermarket TV’s such as Technika etc.
This is cheap-ish but I would save up my pennies and buy a branded TV as these are very poorly made and never last.
Agreeing with others on this being a generic TV with a badge.
Swap the badge for one that says 'Digihome, Isis, Celcus, Techwood' or more truthfully Vestel and then decide if you still want it. Having a Hitachi sticker is almost as misleading as the Blaupunkt stuff in Sainsburys

Thanks for that. You might have solved why my old "Hitachi" branded Freeview PVR has always been a waste of space. I think it's Vestel rebadged as Hitachi. Seriously though, thanks ;O)
It's a good price for the spec but like others have said it's Hitachi in name only, same as smaller Toshibas (less than 40"). Personally I would rather pay more for a brand as have 50/50 experience on un-branded tv's. I bought a Pentus from Currys a few years ago. It only lasted 2 years and went bang although a 32" Bush I bought for my son 6 years ago is still going strong.

Also some tv's other than top names cannot be controlled with a sky remote. Most annoying. I took a LOGIK back to Currys for that reason alone. Always best to check before you buy.

anyone know if this will be compatible with a 50c6900

Have you tried any other wireless router in the NIC/Ethernet port?

Here is a long list of "hey is my tv going to work" with the dongle, not sure if yours may be on it.

http://answers.argos.co.uk/answers/1493-en_gb/product/9094282/questions.htm

Seems to be a 2010 on issue with samsung, 2011/2012 work, led/lcd & some plasma's, but also seems to be down to what firmware the smart part is running.
Anyone can put it in their pc/laptop and tell us the chpset using a hardware info tool like hwinfo?

This way we could search for cheaper alternatives.
