Thanks for your replies.

Try sports direct everlast brand that’s what we use and cheap in price think £8.99 or £11.99 one of them two

Hi - sorry if you know this but there are boxing bag Mitts (just for bag work they are flatter and smaller ) then there are boxing gloves which are for sparring fighting and bag work in terms if good brands I always use everlast and reebok - if she is just starting out I would suggest learning to jab (I would break it down into 1-hit the bag so so it barely moves /2 hit the bag some there is some swing /3 hot the jab strongly) there are tonnes of videos on YouTube though

Boxing in pipes
Who do I call, a joiner? It's gonna be with UPVC trunking

Excellent thanks I'll have a look at that, yeah wanted to hide them, I've had new wallpaper put up so would be looking to box them in now as don't wanna get paint on the wallpaper. Think for any other exposed pipes in the home I'll paint though.

Oops, had to write this twice as I got told off by the mods for posting shortened URL's :o I cant remember what I said now. I suppose it depends where the pipes run really. I've just looked and there are,15mm pipe clips that have a trunking clip to support the trunking but it won't be the easiest fitting pipe clips to pre-existing pipes. and You could consider painting them instead is the main goal is to hide them a bit?

Thanks for the advice I will look into, the guy who originally came out to do it bodged the job and hasn't returned, put cable tacks in the wall and screws in the skirting board to try to balance trunking on. I noticed on my pipes there are clips on them, daft question but can you get trunking that clips to the pipes? If so I'd be tempted to scrap their crap job and give it a go myself. Also I'm getting a new carpet in December, would they have any issues with trunking at floor level?

A general handyman (or handywoman) will be able to do that. It's pretty simple though, buy some trunking, fit some brackets or clips to the wall and then slide the trunking onto the brackets.

Either that or a general builder

My son is 11 and have just ordered him a punchbag and gloves and recommended sizing for their age is 8oz gloves...hope this helps(y)

I’ve been using these for a couple of years. I have a second pair from A1 Hand wraps are very important, the Mexican style ones are very comfy.

Try phoning some boxing clubs, if anyone should know they will.

Thanks everyone for your advice. This is the punch bag I have ordered.

I'd probably get 12oz gloves and hand wraps, these will help fill up the gloves and support the wrist/hand which is important. There will be YouTube videos on how to wrap them. Another idea instead of a punch bag is get some mitts and try teaching some combos, also takes up less room.

Some weekend of boxing coming up. Munguia fight tonight. Then Saturday/Sunday Usyk v Chisora, Inoue v Moloney, Davis V Santa Cruz. Love it. Also Marshall V Rankin in the women's boxing will be decent. The Glaswegian gave Claressa Shields a good fight.

Brilliant stuff. Will look forward to this.

Nice looks like a good fight. Good deal by Channel 5

Thanks Ikz!!
