I'm fairly sure for low profile road bike tyres you pretty much have to inflate to the pressure indicated or you could damage the tyre and wheel rim. I take your point about other tyres where you have a wider range of pressures you can use and the sidewalls are strong enough to cope with being under pressured but those would tend to be lower pressure tyres anyway. Besides 100 PSI might be your get you home pressure anyway if the tyres are normally 120 PSI. I think some tyres of 700x23mm with 90kg+ riders go up to as high as 150 PSI. A small hand pump that goes to 150 PSI with decent seals that will last a long time needs very decent engineering. Not something you can go cheap on I expect. Considering how many pumps fail to quite meet their maximum pressure or need ridiculous levels of power to get there it's probably worth looking at pumps rated slightly above what you need. Contrast that with a £10,000 mountain bike where a poundland pump is more than adequate that probably struggles to go above 60 PSI.

seany1990

You don't need to get 100 psi when you have a puncture, you only need enough air to get yourself home. Saying that I use http://www.wiggle.co.uk/topeak-micro-rocket-cb-pump/ which is an excellent lightweight pump

ianwynneuk

Mountain morph are brilliant. Can get over 100 psi on those. Had mine years. It’s about 30cm long and works as a mini track pump out on the road. I’ve owned a lot of pumps but the mountain morph is the best.

johnny_russell

Topeak mini pocket rocket is good

mdrewry

I carry this one on rides because it has a reasonable reliable gauge and since you can rest it on the floor and anchor it with your foot it’s pretty easy to use. It’s not super mini though, however it slides well in my backpack https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000FIE4PO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_AQGPBbHB7QPCE

Also, on a more serious note, you can only really use them to put the front wheel in, the rear mech always gets in the way if you place the rear wheel into the rack. Which is annoying if you want maximum security with a D lock going through rear wheel, frame and rack.

M1ckj1m

Are you a magician, try as I may I just can’t seem to balance my wife’s bike on top of mine. Is there a seat to wheel ratio for optimal stacking?:/

davemhaynes

Remove the grass, problem solved lol. And put in another shed for your other bikes (?)

coolhandan

Is this another Brexit joke :/

ebble

Why would anyone use this? Just lean your bikes against a wall, one on top of the other. My front room has my best 4 bikes in it. If I stored them in stands like this they'd take up much more space and probably block my view of the telly. I have another 4 bikes in the shed. I need space for the lawnmower.

hot deal - superb find

Grohller

I think the argument against this is that, the tests only give hints on 45 DNA markers when there are over 200,000+ in person's DNA and for most of the practical things you might want to know about, you could discover most without being tested: Vitamin deficiencies - google any symptoms you might have, follow the advice. See how you feel after some supplementation, rinse and repeat.. Lactose, Wheat, Gluten, or any general food for that matter - cut them from your diet for a month and see how you feel or measure your weight. Exercise, - just see what works for you and makes the biggest difference.... even if the report says your DNA says you should be a cardio monster, it doesn't mean that you will enjoy the activity more than throwing weights around. I think if you have the disposable income, it might give you some piece of mind - or back up what you might already think about your body/genetics. I don't think having the piece of paper in front of you will markedly change your habits though, it's no magic pill. For those that don't have the money, but feel the need to address a health or fitness concern, just put your mind to it, research the problem, trial some dietary changes, take the supplements, get the results and bask in the glory of not spending £125 XD

CaptainSocks

I paid £59 for an Ancestry DNA test. Then a further £5 to use https://promethease.com/ondemandagreed It's $10 for Promethease now, but even so... The DNA report I got back was incredible. Basically shows you which markers you carry for pretty any and every medical condition going.

Not just Merrell, all but one of the pairs I have thrown away in the last 3-4 years have gone the same way. Has there been a forced change in the type of glue they are allowed to use?? My 1st pair of Merell light-weight boots ARE still going, although looking a bit rough; I bought them in 2008 and trekked over half of South East Asia in them. They did shrink slightly after several hours immersion in various streams and the South China Sea.

Lorian

And remember Merrell always seem to come up small. in UK sizes I have to buy a whole size up to m normal fit.

Deedie

I would look at the pic in the reviews for this. The last 5 pair of Merrell foot wear I have had, have had this same issue. They used to be fantastic, not now

Lots of people buy this junk and expect it to work miracles. Nothing burns fat other than creating a calorie deficit and steady exercise on a regular basis . These things are generally just a load of caffeine and other stimulants. They might help you feel more energetic but the slump will not be pleasant. Lots of crap side effects too. As already said, for anyone looking at these as a magic cure, save yourself the frustration and try to get a good eating, exercise and sleep plan. If you really are struggling with suppressing your appetite, try and get low calorie, high fibre, voluminous foods into your diet to keep you feeling full for longer and over time your will power will improve....probably.

mrner01

Don't understand why you have to lose weight to play an Xbox racing game. (lol)

abigsmurf

I suspect that a lot of these pills are successful purely because they punish unhealthy eating. People discover that when fats aren't being absorbed by the gut, they still have to go somewhere...

Agreed. I was sent an email by a third party, offering freebies for a good review of a pair of headphones I had bought.

matej_jones

Never heard of that site before but it looks interesting. Is it basically saying that once the fake/poor reviews are removed the proper reviews give a score of 2.5?

BigVern1984

You need to use Fakespot.com for Amazon reviews. There true Amazon score on Fakespot is 2.5/5!

Schwaa

Using your above logic around 3 in 4 people give it a 4 or 5 star review. That's good... (skeptical) I own the watch, it's fantastic, if you want a fitness tracker that doubles as a nice sleak 'smart' watch this is perfect, it's never missed a beat (excuse the pun) (excited)

fergee

I owned one for 2 months and then gave it to my wife. The killer for me is no standalone gps, so stupidly bought a Samsung S3 without realising it didn’t really work with an iPhone. I now have an Apple Watch. This is a very good watch, well made with a great supporting app. Battery life is also very good. Once you have fine tuned your stride length it is also very good at calculating run distances.

Mate it says “spa treatments” are not allowed - Completely different to just accessing the spa. You are perfectly entitled to use the facilities on that wristband. I used to be a bannatynes paying member. Once your in the facility - their not exactly going to follow you around and watch your every move even if you were banned from the spa (which your not.) Spa treatments is things like back rubs etc. It doesn’t rule out use of the actual spa (swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi etc.

Si1

Got excited as I thought I might finally get to try the local spa for free but unfortunately not according to the terms and conditions which I will pop below. Still will be good to go and have a walk around see what they are like at the posh gym : ) "National Fitness Day 2018 - Terms and ConditionsThe offer is a free guest pass to be used Wednesday 26th September 2018 (National Fitness day) at a participating Bannatyne health club. Open Day guest passes can be reserved online, via telephone or in a health club, and must be pre-booked before the date of the Open Day. The offer is subject to availability and numbers are strictly limited to 50 places per participating health club. The participating Bannatyne health clubs are all Bannatyne health clubs. Guest pass holders will be entitled to use the health club facilities on the day of the Open Day, and may participate in any exercise classes (subject to availability). Personal training, tennis lessons and spa treatments are not included, and the guest pass does not entitle the holder to any food, drink, travel, accommodation, towel hire or any other expenses. Guest passes are non-transferable and there is no cash equivalent. Each guest pass holder will be provided with a wristband to enter the club (and re-enter during the day, if required), which must be returned to the reception desk at the end of the visit. All guest pass holders must complete a pre-exercise questionnaire on arrival at the club, and will be bound by these terms and conditions and the club rules. Oh, and thanks to all of the grammar posters, reminded me of my English Language classes nearly 40 years ago ! Title is correct. Apostrophe use either indicates possession, or missing letters. If possessor ends with an 's', then apostrophe should appear after the 's'. It really is quite simple. Will have to give this game a go, didn't (missing o, ;-)) realise it included non-golf options. Bargain price too, heat added. Thanks OP. (highfive)
