Dental hygiene and its associated technology has come a long way since the days of the simple hand-powered toothbrush. As adults, we only get one set of teeth and once they're gone, they're gone – so it's important to look after the ones we have, as well as the gums that keep them in place. The best quality toothbrushes can be expensive, so to help save our customers’ money, there's a wide range of superb deals at hotukdeals on Philips Sonicare toothbrushes.

Philips Sonicare Diamond Vs Cheaper iTechnik Sonic
So I used the diamond clean from Philips but was disappointed to find it failed within 2 years- for two sets (one as a gift). Reading reviews this is common. I've tried the iTechn… Read more

Currently using Oclean Z1 ( bluetooth) and it's the best toothbrush I've ever had. Teeth feel clean all day and using the app we have a bit of fun seeing who is the most efficient brusher . Had both Philips Sonicare and Oral B. Also use a Fairywill for our travel brushes as the are so light , good but not as good as the Oclean.

Mine failed after 3 years - ended up getting the Xiaomi t500 toothbrush as it's only £30 - been very impressed with it, even has the ability to connect to your phone and alter the settings etc. Only had it for approx 3 months, but it came with 4 heads so I thought £30 even if it only lasts a year doesn't sound too bad) - hopefully last much longer though :)

Just so you know the warranty period on the Sonicare is 2 years. My first one failed at 23 months. Was hassle free to have it swapped over. I've had the replacement for about 3 years and it is still going strong. I would suggest you just claim on the warranty. For balance with the post above, I used to use Oral B and much prefer the way the Sonicare cleans! When this one fails if I've had 5-6 years out of it I will feel it has been fairly good value for money and buy another!

Oral b, anything above the 2500 model, I didn't like the sonicare myself, just didn't feel like it cleaned them thoroughly.

Any recommendations for Philips Sonicare Brush-head replacement
Hi all I'm after a few brush-head replacements for my Philips Sonicare Brush. Any recommendations for replacements or is it best to just get them form the Philips site.

Ended up going for the 8931 from Tesco. Went on the assumption that the higher number meant it was better along with the higher RRP. Still never really found out if that was true or not!

While everyone is talking about the soniccleans - what brushes do people use? I tried some aftermarket ones and they were much softer than the philip ones. They frayed quickly and irritated my gums. Is there a decent source of cheaper genuine heads?

I have this one, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Sonicare-DiamondClean-Generation-Toothbrush/dp/B01LWSU3EO but use a smaller (generic) diamond brush.. squeaky clean teeth :D

I had the hx6511 which broke after maybe 2 years and I purchased oral b which I used for about a week before buying another sonicare hx6511 was just as good as the one I have now, I paid the same price for them both but my current one retails for double - so as your dentist says, expensive ones just have gimmicks - hx6511 is a great brush https://www.philips.co.uk/etc/philips/b2c/compareproducts.html?locale=en_GB&catalog=CONSUMER&ctn=HX6511/43,HX8931/10 that's a comparison, they are essentially the same brush but the other one has a gum feature (it's like a pulsing mode)
