Decent price for this popular soup maker. Edit: the price has been changing regularly but now down to just over £25 which is a great price.

Love mine!!!

This is happening to me as well despite placing my actual address.

Great price! These are fantastic. Great little set and forget appliance

It's great for veg soups, we always set it to "smooth". There's plenty of recipes online and in the instructions iirc. Chop onion and a bit of oil and fry it in the kettle, add veg (usually carrots, potato and parsnip for us), add water, seasoning and a stock cube, 22 minutes later you're done. We either eat it straight away or put it in containers, cool for an hour and then refrigerate.

This might be because your default delivery address is set as a local pick up point.

Highly recommended. I have had one since Q1 2018 and used it on average twice per week. So easy to use and it avoids having to throw away lots of vegetables. I now chuck in quinoa and other grains that can be cocked in 15-20 minutes, trust me you won't have to bother anymore if you do like smooth soups. I have the Russell Hobbs' one although this one seems a rebranded model.

Thank you for the link.

I paid about £7 more for the same package about a month ago. Good deal as much cheaper than the soup maker on its own. Used it about 5 times since making 6 portions each time. Very pleased with it. Take a look on Liana's Kitchen website for soup maker ideas.

You will probably be surprised how often you will use it. Takes about 20 minutes to cook a soup after chopping ingredients. Chop-up spare veg which might otherwise go to waste and freeze into a soup maker portions for use another time. I also use mine to make tomato based pasta sauce. For example, you can sauté finely chopped onions, carrots and celery before adding tinned tomatoes.

because you have to stand and stir a pan and make sure it doesn't boil over.

Thanks daf00, that clears things up for me. I will stick to making my soup in a pot as i like my veg done properly.

I think this has a saute mode which lets you brown off onions etc for 5 mins with the lid off prior to letting the automatic soup magic happen (y)

A quantity of minutes makes up larger units of time. I think this model can cook vegetables in seconds as well

I’m a big soup fan and always making different recipes. My girlfriend bought me one similar to this (kenwood). Big issue is potato, onion and garlic. You cannot get the same style of cooking as a conventional pan despite what the recipe says. Veg is largely fibrous, lumpy, al-dente or uncooked. Great to use for precooked vege, in which case you’re just using it as a mediocre blender, but that’s it. Don’t expect miracles when you can’t let veg boil or onions to sweat.

How wrong, we have a slow cooker and use it most weeks also have a soup maker. In fact we are on our second soup maker first one got worn out ! We make soup on a Sunday freeze a few containers lasts through the week handy to take to work (y) .

Anyone know how this compares to the one in the link? Is the Morphy Richards one worth the extra? The Morphy Richards one is £45 on Morrisons.

Maybe if I didn't already have a slow slow cooker and didn't want another with a similarly large footprint. These soup makers are compact and you don't have to wait for the soup to cool before putting in the blender which used to take up the same amount of worktop space before becoming redundant.

I was thinking the same and my wife insisted on having one and it is used several times a week, whereas the slow cooker very rarely. Yes, can also use saucepan on the hob and a blender, but as others have said, 30 mins including including veg prep is great. My wife came in from a sea swim today, put it on and it was ready by the time she'd had a shower. BTW, this looks identical to the one we got from Aldi.

Can with a fast slow cooker, often called a pressure cooker.

Thanks! Decided for the 3-in-1 for the additional benefits for pizza dough, cake mixing and salads. Though listed as temporarily out of stock, hopefully, they do get more in and don't end up cancelling my order. Otherwise, I'll be gutted I didn't just get the 2-in-1. Edit: Since Amazon don't offer cashback on any products other than their own echo and fire stick devices etc, don't forget to order through to ensure part of your order is donated to your preferred charity. (copy and paste the link, as it'll just take you to the normal amazon link)

The 3-in-1 has a food processor attachment, that allows you to grate, chop, mix etc. I went with the 3 in 1 just incase I ever needed a food processor and it's come in handy a few times.

Could someone please give me some tips on which might be the best option for me out of the three? Are far as I can tell, the main differences between the three are these; *The 2-in-1 blender and 3-in-1 'food processor' are essentially the same product, apart from the 3-in1 having the additional bowl jug. What benefit does the bowl jug have, what can it make that the other jugs can't? *The 2-in-1 blender and 2-in-1 soup maker are different in that the soup maker has the ability to heat foods. Apart from that, is there any other major difference? Primarily, I'd like a blender to be able to make shakes and smoothies and am aware there are smaller more compact options that could fulfill this, but I'm interested in one of these 3 for the additional benefits they have. Also, I don't eat soup, so kind of figuring the soup maker is not for me, but might it come on handy for making something else? So far, I think it's the 2-1 blender that would be most suited to me, but wondering if it's worth getting the 3-in1 for the jug.

My bad. Didn’t realise you quoted the 3-1 model!

as i said before these are great ,my husband got one to make me soup for my night shifts (y)

Cheers for helpful info x

Soupmakers in general can save a huge amount of time. You just stick the ingredients in, and it does everything else. With no need to even be in the kitchen. It really takes less time than opening a can, pouring it into a bowl and putting that into a microwave oven to heat. Plus you can make soup out of stuff that might easily otherwise go into the bin. They come in two basic types - one has the blades and motor in the bottom and one has them in an extension to the lid. This is one of the latter - but I prefer the first type, having got one of each. You can have dumplings that way. Suet dumplings.. Yummeee.

Depends if if annoys you having to be there when the soup is being made or you prefer simply pressing a button and coming back in 20 or so minutes :D . Only you can decide that (y) I've been criticised for saying this on other soup maker threads but here goes :D you can cut your lawn with shears but who doesn't use a lawnmower these days?? (y)
