If you're married, try adding your partner as a named driver. Even if you're never going to let them drive. It nearly always lowers your quote.

Insurance companies take the view that only one person is going to be driving at any one time anyway & someone in a stable relationship is more responsible & hopefully a more conciensous driver.

    Try Swinton.
They had a £70 cashback a while ago ,also quidco payed £50.
I got both, cheque came after 3 months, cashback paid out same time.
Quote was also cheaper than my renewal.

Swinton cashback now is £40. If quidco pays another £50, its not a bad deal at all. I will try that. Thanks.

I got a renewel quote from them. I searched online for a better deal and struggled even assuming quidco. In end I rang them up and they lowered quote by 20-30 quid without even asking for me to name the cheaper price.

I did a search on confused.com and compare the market too i think. Even so 280 ish is a lot for a 1.4 engine when you have 6-7 no claims and over 30 yrs.
