Or they should have used the correct link including the time stamp! youtu.be/Ajz…26s
This is a good deal, tempted to buy another Play5 but I only got one two weeks ago from the AVBristol deal! Damn you HUKD!
It was obvious why I didn't due to my comment. Why skip all that great music? Anyway the joke I made evidently wasn't funny so I apologise and I will try harder next time. I'm currently working on a great joke for when a bathroom suite deal comes up, so get ready for that one folks.
Just persuaded me to go for a Rechargeable solution - thanks
The Play5 has a three-band equaliser accessible from the PC controller software.
It is stereo also, though it only has one bass unit per box. The two mid-range speakers and two tweeters per box are angled to increase stereo separation but of course 2 Play5s do it even better.
The bridge plugs into your wireless router, to create a specific sonos network. I have a play 3 on its own, which is great, but they really come into their own when you have 2 or more.
They bridge creates a seamless network so songs will be perfectly in time across the speakers no matter what room they are in. Or you can pay different songs on different speakers
What really impressed me about this is how much bass you get from it at low volumes. Clever bit of kit.
Also great for playing Machine Head fu' ba' from the bedroom while the wife is near the Sonos in the living room. Never gets boring but may have to stop before the divorce papers arrive.
That was worth a post...not
Still waiting for av bristol order!
Heat added. Nice kit at a good price.

Speakers are all built into the one unit. You need additional Sonos 1, 3 or 5 for other rooms.
John Lewis refused to price match for me. On the grounds that Martin Dawes is a 'showroom attached to an online only business'.
Pah - seems a cop out - especially given you can't even order things online at Martin Dawes website so can't really be an online only business. I also understand that Martin Dawes has been in operation since well before the internet was even invented - so not really an online only business.
Asked John Lewis Liverpool if they would price match, they said they would for the speaker but the bridge would cost extra.
Good deal. I would order but don't live local and don't want to mess around with mail order if there are problems etc, etc...
Out of interest is the Martin Dawes store a 'shop'. JL said that MD define themselves as a 'showroom' - hence why they won't price match.
Yes

I think that's what you were asking?
Some videos have a tick box that allows you to link to a specific time. It should be right after the url you can copy when you are on the share tab of the video info, it reads "Start at:". Or just do the far simpler manual way of adding &t=XmXs (where Xm =whatever minute and Xs=whatever seconds, in the above link &t=1m26s)
This has gotten off topic
On topic, the Play5 is a fantastic bit of kit and recommend it to anyone sitting on the fence about getting one!

I emailed them back and asked them to include the Bridge, they said Yes...
I separately price matched a Sonos Play:1 with a free bridge @ £153, they came back and said I was to far away from Martin Dawes, and they didn't offer delivery.
I countered, the address I gave was my billing and I was local at the time of Price match, and gave them the twitter account and proved they do intact do delivery. Just got a yes reply back today.
Sometimes just try it again, worth a go really.
They wont price match a Play:5 now though with it being out of stock.....
Thanks for the info. I did go back to JL about the 'showroom' definition and they have come back saying that they won't price match as Martin Dawes is on a trading estate and not trading under the same conditions as them.
I am actually quite disappointed with JL - they are obviously trading in more favourable trading conditions than Martin Dawes, being a huge company with capacity to bulk buy, operate an online business etc etc.
Well done getting the bridge included as well!.

So tried my luck with JL price match will update later with answer...
10% off all Sonos with bridge and free delivery (edited)
Martin Dawes is on Gemini Retail Park alongside Marks and Spencers, Ikea, Next, Boots, Toys-R-Us etc how is that a "trading estate"? - I'd go back to them on that!
Just received the same reply
Thank you for your enquiry.
In order to apply a price reduction on a purchase, the competitor must trade on the same basis as us, for example we will not match online only retailers, mail order only or show-rooms attached to internet-only orders.
Although Martin Dawes have a showroom, this is located in a trading estate which is not a comparable high street shopping destination. Therefore, on this occasion I regret that I cannot offer a price match. If you would like to view more information about Never Knowingly Undersold and our pricing you can do so on our website at:
What a load rollock's! Have written to them again and politely told them so...
