sorted byNo, it hasn't.
It's not the beta, it's the final release.
I'm an Apple user, but you won't find me searching out Microsoft or Android deals and voting cold to gain some measly sense of satisfaction.
Get a life!
It's brilliant for Instagram too. Take the plunge, don't be afraid.
Yes I know....if you are a long term Apple user you'd get it....

This is what consumer oriented computing is all about, not tech specs.
Mavericks, released this time last year, was the first time the update was free.
Around £700 if you purchase via their EDU store
Was actually debating whether or not to download the beta version yesterday! I'll just download the final version now :)...though I don't see any changes except for the flatter icons! I don't have an iPhone so the phone integration apps are pointless for me!
One off download, then you can keep it forever!
We will. Cheers!
The fact you would be breaking a EULA states it mustn't be installed on anything other than Apple hardware.
It was only free from a certain point. The past have been a small fee.
They can play games.
Probably not a coincidence, more demanding software putting strain on a older machine, like any organisation who might want to "encourage" their customers to upgrade.
I found it fine, whereas my MacBook is late 2013. Not got this one yet though, will wait till i'm home and connected to the weefee.
iOS to OS X airdrop is capability that has been added to yosemite and iOS 8.
The free download is available on a first-come first-served basis from its website with 1m downloads available.

To install the free software users will have to sign up using Apple’s site, as well as have a Mac computer with OS X Mavericks 10.9 installed with at least 2GB of memory and 8GB of free disk space. (Although I'm sure the Mavericks requirement will be overcome with a little work).

Yes, it's not yet available. The get deal link did go to the info page on apple.com but it's redirecting to the store instead for some reason.
I'll update my Mac itself at some point when it alerts me.
Is the appleseed build 14A388a?
The store is where you'll download it from when it's available.
I meant that it is redirecting to the apple online store (via a HUKD referral link presumably).

Downloading now.
Yup downloading for me too.
available now
You running it on a wintel too?
I'll wait all weekend if I have to.
No. That's illegal.
Your Mac won't alert you for this ad it's not an update but rather a new 'product' as Apple see it.
Under what law exactly?
Yes; I think the've finally got there with the integration between OS X and iOS.
It's not a deal, it's a freebie.
