About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
*** Updated Sep 17 ***
A bit long winded but here is the guide how to get 22% off any purchase at Halfords.
First get yourself £15.95 Toyota Owners Club Premium membership here (*credit to jamesm182*):
toyotaownersclub.com/mem…ip/
It gives 15% discount for in store Halfords purchases (NOTE - only 10% for bikes).
Or alternatively get yourself a British Cycling £21 FAN membership (£18.90 if paying by DD). Membership gives you 10% in-store discount including Boardman bike range. Ask your friends who might already have it.
*** The site was taken down and is not clear when/whether it would come back. You can purchase gift vouchers over the phone but company only gives 7% discount (thanks to runix20) ***Calculate the cost of your purchase after the discount and buy Halfords gift vouchers with 10% discount here: select.halfordsbusinessservices.co.uk/
Codes - MCOUNTHal09, ELGHAL13, NRTSCHAL13 - all give 10% off
You need to register with the Select site first in order to apply the code. There is £2 delivery charge for Recorded delivery or £7 for RM Special delivery.
In order to purchase more than £300 you will need to keep adding the maximum to your basket, for example add 20 x £10 vouchers to your basket and then go back to the catalogue and add another 20 x £10 vouchers etc.
Many large employers and shopping clubs do have dedicated discount code for the site. You can register with The Big Saving Club, Ideal Extras club, JML (both gives 8% discount though)
thebigsavingsclub.com
myidealrewards.com
Lotus, Escort Cabriolets club members and Morton Michel policy holders also get 10% discount:
seloc.org/mem…le/
escortcabrioletclub.co.uk/for…rs/
mortonmichel.com/Chi…ts/
travelcambs.org.uk/cyc…ts/
Alternatively you can buy some Halfords gift vouchers at Zeek (usually 8-10% discount) which can be handy for smaller purchases:
zeek.me/buy…ds/
Now order your item via Quidco (3%) or TCB (3.03%) and use Reserve&Collect service.
Make the journey to the store once order is available to collect and get your goods
This method will work on anything including sale items.
ADVISE NOTE:
If your payment for gift voucher order is not accepted DO NOT try again. PHONE your bank - they did flag your transaction as fraudulent. Request them to remove the bar then wait at least 30 minutes to an hour before trying again.

Went to Halfords just with BC membership and they gave me BC 10% discount in the end (they were asking each other how to proceed with this).
So I bought a bike of £250 for just £205 as I saved 10% (£25) with BC membership and £20 for buying vouchers worth £200 for which I paid just £180 (used code ELGHAL13).
Thanks, and happy shopping to everyone
I got the £20 off online promotion
I got 3.15% Top Cash Back
I bought it using vouchers from Halfords services using promo code for 10% off
I got 10% off in store using the British Cycle Membership
Then I will get £50 Cash Back from TomTom on there cashback promotion.
This is called voucher stacking, where you stack one voucher on top of another and another and another...
ALL IN ALL I AM A WINNER
I've managed to get a 10% voucher off vouchercodes.co.uk , 3% Quidco. £480 of vouchers for £432 and hopefully will get a further 10% after joining British Cycling. I was minutes away from paying full price before seeing this thread.
So, i had the initial 20% off all accessories, bc membership 10% discount and the 10% discounted vouchers. So glad i seen this post or i wouldve paid nearly 200 quid more. There was no difficulty using the BC discount on top off other discounts and same with no problem paying with vouchets(which i bought yesterday and they came this morning). Halfords also put new pedal, tyres, lights, mudguards and carriers which i bought onto the bike for pickup. Staff were really helpful and i dont usually do halfords

So if you were to buy a £1000 boardman bike pressing a few buttons for five minutes wouldn't be worth a potential saving of £220.00?
If you're hesitating - don't - it just works, plain and simple.
As for Halfords voucher discount, enter appropriate code in box which asks for discount code and not gift code. This will be on the shopping basket page where you view the amount of vouchers you have and not on the payment page. Hope this helps.
Thanks to the OP.
Hey Darren... You have to register for the select, do all the registration confirmation stuff. login, go to the homepage of the select site and then choose your vouchers. When it shows you cart you should see the discount code box on the left under your cart contents. You have to login before you start the process!
Anyway. They quickly changed their minds when I said I wouldn't take the bike
Also, the cheap £1 set of lights that I reserved to take my spend to £600, werent on stock. So they gave me a £25 set instead!
That's about £625 worth of kit for about £420.
Cheers again Senukas.

Next working day if you ordered before midday. Otherwise the following day.
Set the ball rolling today by ordering a British Cycling fan card (£18) & Halford vouchers with the 10% off code.
Now need to wait to wait for both to turn up, before remembering to buy via Quidco/TCB for a little more off.
Will let you know how it all turned out.
If they are still giving you gib just call head office and ask them to call the store while you wait and be pre-pared to grin like a cheshire cat when it all goes through the till.
I'm about to find out, going to pick my Boardman MX Sport with Halfords Vouchers, printed BC membership card. I'll be able to answer your question later.
No problems at all, I just said that I am BC member and have vouchers. Nice bike btw.

Another happy saver!
What that means, you can't go to Halfords store and buy Halfords gift cards (or other gift cards) with 15% discount.
The same applies to BC card.
There is NO ISSUE if you go to store, apply Toyota/BC card discount and pay in already obtained gift vouchers as they are treated as cash.
Btw all this was discussed in first 30-40 posts
Ah, cheers for that, I'd just come to query that too. Didn't want to order £100s worth of voucher to find them turned down at the till!
Really? If you buy a £1000 bike you will get a £100 discount using the membership scheme which costs around £15.
You can't buy the vouchers from the halfordsbusinessservices site now, you have to ring. Also the discount has been reduced to 7%.
Thank you for contacting Halfords Business Services and for your interest in our productsI queried why the website was down and received this response:
Halfords Gift Vouchers are being used all over the UK as rewards and incentives for staff, customers and sales teams. Halfords Gift Vouchers can be redeemed in any one of our 400 stores across the UK against any product.
We offer a discount for bulk purchase of our gift vouchers. If you are purchasing less then £20,000 per annum we offer a 7% discount on face value. If you are purchasing more than £20,000 per annum then we offer a 10% discount on face value.
One of our team will contact shortly to discuss your requirements further, but if in the meantime you would like to see our product range please click here
Shame, I used this same fantastic deal 2 years ago to get a great price on a Boardman Hybrid Pro. The BC cycling discount came in really handy afterwards for lots of things from Halfords like sat-navs, Garmins etc and more than paid for itself.

It is not quick way to get a discount (like code or price error) but you get it on top of sales prices too.
True HUKdealer, glad it did help As for BC benefit voucher - don't panic, they are regularly updated, just print new one in August (probably would be valid until end of September).
I complained and got £40 off the bike. With this, the vouchers, cycling club discount and TCB a Carrera vulcan bike only cost me £248 from £360 (originally £490) ........I'd call that a bargain !!
Thanks OP
No idea on this but worth a try. I don't know C2W conditions but you can always turn "dumb mode" and try to bulldoze the deal
So this may be an option for those who would rather avoid the extra hassle and save a little less.

The biggest discount is obtained by combining Click and Collect service (via Quidco or TCB and using all standard discount vouchers like the one mentioned above) and paying in store with Halfords vouchers after applying BC money off voucher.
Exactly! ;-)
Hmmm, my original post reached over 400C but someone did expire it. Never mind, I see it did help a good bunch of people
(£1100 was the cheapest other bike I was considering and that was after £150 discount).
You can call or email BC and they will email you your temporary card ( that's what I did with no problem and CS was very helpful). Anyway, Halfords did not ask for membership card in any case as the BC discount voucher can only be printed by members.
I'm hoping its better than that. TCB, The discount from The Big Bike Race, BC discount, Halfords in shop vouchers. Im looking to save over £300 on my £1000 Bike
