Good deal considering game itself costs over £30. The previous special edition pokemon 2ds' now costs way over the price they were sold for when they came out so really worth considering. Its also the first 2ds with a unique design as well. No other promo code ive tried is working to Reduce the price further but if u do know any please post it in comments. For some reason the link goes straight to the game homepage so here are the individual pages:

Pokemon Sun installed 2ds: game.co.uk/en/…173

pokemon Moon installed 2ds: game.co.uk/en/…572

Thanks!

    Is Pokemon still a thing?

no. that whole 'Pokemon GO" thing was just a very small niche. i mean what even is a pokemon?

Yeah but great for kids. The younger generation are too lazy to swap cartridges as they are used to downloading stuff a la iPhone/iPad etc

The 2DS is fantastic, maybe even better than the 3ds if 3d isn't your thing. It is hassle free and built like a tank and much cheaper. Basically I don't want to kill myself if I scratch it.

You do have to add your NNID (Nintendo Network ID) when you first start up your new 2DS, however, you cannot have multiple 2DS's/3DS's/3DSXL's with the same NNID, so if you were thinking of buying the handheld and transferring the game to another, it is not possible.
  14. wetbandit's avatar
It's linked to both console and NNID. If you lost your 3DS then you have a better case to get the game transferred to a new system from Nintendo but there is no guarantee as far as I am aware.

My daughters 2DS came with mario kart 7 'pre-installed'. Its actually just the game file dumped on an SD Card that is already inserted into the console.

I assume when/if the SD card takes a dump, thats the end of the game as its not tied into any account [edit: as I saw it, seems i may be wrong].

You have to transfer from one 3ds to another using the transfer tool. The licence is still held on the console. Go to system settings. When you transfer mariokart 7 it will also keep the game that comes pre installed on the new system as well. Have done it a few times myself

Pre installed games...reminds me of the good old Master System II that came with Alex Kidd builtin...good times.

OK so if I got this would I be able to install the game on another 3DS or would I only be able to play on the console the game comes installed on?

There was also a version of the Master System which had Sonic 1 on it (not the megadrive sonic 1 for anyone confused)

I had both at different times and both times they were stolen after break-in's.

Had a 2DS and hated how uncomfortable it was, plus the quality of the screen was pretty poor. Stick to the Original/New 3DS instead.

You will have to transfer your old 3ds to the new 3ds. The pre installed game with new 3ds console will be kep in tact once transferred over.

Old 3ds with games > new 3ds with pre installed game = new 3ds with games + pre installed games

Those nintendo ambassador games for the 3ds were tied to my original 3ds. I lost it and didn't replace it till 2 years later.

the purchase was on my history but nintendo refused to transfer the games because I didn't make a police report that I lost my 3ds....

I wouldn't trust nintendo customer support. Only time they've been good was when they delayed mk8 delivery and gave everyone a digital copy while they waited for their collectors to turn up.

2DS does everything the 3DS does besides the 3D, perfect for a 5 year old, definitely wouldn't pay the extra for someone so young. Not even paying the extra for myself and the mrs, it's a gimmick i've not missed, the 2DS is not flip though like the 3DS but not a major issue.

You can get a 2DS for like £50 if you wait for deals so your getting a digital copy of the game for £40? Cold for me.

Moon is set 12hours ahead of real time so I went with moon as if playing at night it will be day and in the morning it will be night however lots of people will prefer real time (sun). Before finding out this information I couldn't choose.
