The website shows me nothing about my account and the app only shows when the offer is due to expire. I know people are saying go to setting etc but is this in the app or on the website?

    On the website:

    1. Select Settings cog icon next to your name:
    25281210-gX51i

    2. Click-on Settings:
    25281210-z563o

    3. Click-on My Subscription then 'Continue with cancellation' at bottom
    25281210-vmGJs

    Follow prompts.

    Job done! (_;)

Maybe because I love the way that spotify deals with playlist (deezer is a nightmare to set one up) but spotify, for the bands I like, has more to offer.

How can you say that it's a "nightmare" to set up a playlist in Deezer?? You just go to playlists, and select "new playlist" - alternatively, just tap on a song or album and choose "add to playlist"......it couldn't be any easier! (and is much the same as Spotify).

I'm not sure what you're expecting - but the process is hardly a "nightmare"!!

If you have a Chromecast, you can redeem another 3 months Deezer premium for nothing, just did it to mine and it extended my current 99p 3 month sub(due to expire in a few days time) until the end of November

Deezer is definitely worth 99p for 3 months when i'm on my computer i will use Deezer over Spotify until it stops working and the 'puter needs a restart. i imported some of my Spotify playlists using Spotizr the app on android doesn't work well at all for me in terms of playing music so i will use the Spotify app.

If you choose to use Deezer free verses Spotify free the former is free unlimited streaming if you link your Last.fm account to it scrobbles are instant the latter is free 10hrs/month if you link your Last.fm account scrobbles require you to listen to half the song

    A. Not everyone has a Chromecast.
    B. What happens if your free trials have run out? ie, you don't qualify for the Google Play deal.
    C. As said by many people on this thread, the deal does NOT apply ONLY to new members.

Thus... For many people who CANNOT get Google Play for free for 3 months... of which there is many... This is a great deal. Better, in fact, for those who do not qualify for the Google Play deal.

As my last Chromecast trial has recently expired, and this is even better than the half price Spotify Premium student deal, I'll be signing up for this. Thanks so much OP!

Just wanted to say that never used Deezer, used Sony music unlimited, Spotify so have some experience with other providers and Deezer wipes the floor with them - highly recommend! Especially at 99p:-)

Great deal, deezer is very good, as good as spotify, I'm half way through a free 12 month subscription I got with my sonos and it's worked great, one issue I did have was when I synced some albums to my wife's phone for offline play.. They skipped all the time for some reason, worked fine on my phone.
I'll probably pay the £10 a month when my free sub runs out because I now use it all the time.

I swapped from Spotify premium to Deezer and I have had no problems, if anything it has been more reliable.
Currently on a free upgrade to elite and so quality is better than Spotify too.
I used Spotizr to transfer playlists.

This offer gives you Deezer Premium which allows you download the music to listen even when there's no connection. After the three months you can pay £9.99/month to continue on premium or move to a free service which does not allow offline mode however you will still be able to stream the music to listen and all your playlists will remain active and you can still add to and edit them.

Can anyone confirm if there is any filter to deny access to songs with explicit lyrics on Deezer? Had a good look online, but can only find old information giving an impression that there is no facility to avoid bad language. Appreciate any guidance available.

I've had a closer look at the settings and sadly cannot see any explicit lyrics filter.

Obviously this is a good deal but I gotta say I would never pay a subscription to any music streaming service. I do pay for Netflix but movie streaming is just totally different to me. Music is so much more personal.

I had a free Spotify account and then found certain bands and albums were removed and that just put me off for good. Also, you never own any of the music and in year's to come after investing many pounds worth it's quite possible a service could end and you're left with nothing.

Music is about enjoying the moment; I find streaming services great for when you want to play a song with a click of a button and not have to worry about buying/finding music. It isn't about buying into an 'asset' of owning a library, you'd be left with lots of memories and hours of enjoyment, not 'nothing' in my opinion

Now I just have to work out where the next deal for streaming music comes from in August, maybe jump on to Apple Music for what is reported as a free 3 month trial.

    Thanks op.

Like Spotify, Deezer still offers an ad-supported free tier at 128kbps. This offers unlimited listening on web or tablet, but restricts mobile use to the Flow feature and Mixes only. There’s no offline listening, so you’ll want to go steady if you have a data allowance.

For £9.99 per month, (that is this deal), users can get access to the ad-free Premium+, with 320kbps playback and offline listening, or for £14.99, Sonos users only can sign up to Deezer Elite for everything Premium+ offers, plus 16-bit/44.1kHz FLAC playback through their Sonos kit.

I think there is a generational aspect to the streaming music companies. … I think there is a generational aspect to the streaming music companies. Because the feeling of personal offence and effrontery when some lame awful song is foisted upon me is almost too much to bear. Take the example the old classic song "Fever", there it pops up and I feel a sense of vomit inducing nausea and boredom.I know some might say radio was the same, but that doesn't bother me so much. It almost seems like these streaming services are the people with no passion for their own music, as if it is some vague background thing to hear the latest tunes. It just seems horribly clinical and inpersonal compared to doing one's own lovingly created playlist

You can create your own playlists though.
The "generational" thing I think is that "managing a music" collection will soon become as outmoded as buying physical media. It has amused me for some time that angry saps rage against digital downloads for games, and all over themselves for blueray movies.
This is just now being talked about in mainstream media. I just went to look, but couldn't find the magazine this month talking about how all the new PCs at Computex I think it was have no physical media drives.
Vinyl gave way to CD, gave way to DRM downloads to MP3 and now to streaming.
MP3 tagging tracks and adding lyrics, zzzzzzz.
I can create my own playlists on Xbox Music or Spotify. I pay for Xbox and use free Spotify.
(If Spotify gets an Xbox app [porbably will when Xbox gets Windows 10] then I will change my sub to Spotify])

But trying to manage 30 to 40G of ripped or collected music just seems like a ton of effort when for 10 quid per month (about 3 Starbucks coffees) I can just stream almost any music I like.
Yes, a generational thing, the youth of the day can barely read email, you think they will "manage" music? LOLz No
