I'm sure they do. It's seems connectivity is the big problem with them.

I'm not an expert, but they sound great to me :)

Reviews are pretty underwhelming.

Thats a rather confusing title when you read the description. If I've got it right, you're meaning you bought it in Currys in store, they price matched Amazon and they gave you a Deezer voucher? If that's right, can you amend the title as when I click through the link there doesn't seem to be a mention of a deezer voucher unless I'm missing something? If I have, then no worries, I'll delete this post OP!

As @HankHandsome said, just entered into the draw

Cool I wasn't sure, when I caught my golden windsurfer I instantly won the t-shirt so thought that might work the same. Nevertheless I'll keep hunting for golden party boy. My chances are higher than winning the lottery if nothing else!

You're just entered into the draw

Congrats!! Does that mean you win the trip or you're entered for the chance?

Thanks OP. Just got a 'Gold Party Flamedeer' when looking at this post 8)

these sound better than the QC35 ii. By my tests the noise cancelling was no better on Bose.

Sony earcups don't fit everyones earshape. Bose cup slighly larger so fit. Noise cancelling definitely superior on bose. Sound quality very personal choice

Glad I got these for £250 when I did, don't think they've dropped down to that since

I've tested both - the Sony's sound slightly better (more bass clarity and wider sound stage), but the QC35ii are more comfortable and have superior noise cancelling. I ended up with the Bose because of the comfort factor. The sound quality and noise cancelling is excellent on both, despite their respective wins. This price is decent for the Sony's but doesn't seem like a hot deal necessarily.

Thanks for the post. Have you tested them both? Most people say the Sony ones are much better sounding. But that the Bose has better noise cancelling.

Are these much better than the echo?

They sold like hot cakes. I got the R3 BOGOF for £49 more

Yes. These were selling for £99 bogof 2 weeks ago. They sold out quickly but I got the R3 for £149 bogof. I use it through my PC, Sony TV with BT connection, Amazon Dot, and using 3rd party media software on my phone

Are these any good to pair up with an Echo or is the sound roughly the same?

Purchased one of these on the BT Shop deal last week. Been really impressed with is so far. My only complaint is that as I use Apple Music I have to play via Bluetooth rather than Wifi and the Bluetooth range seems rather small I end up having to leave the phone in the same room as the speaker. If I do end up buying any more for the multiroom will just have to pay for Deezer or Spotify.

I just rang the Samsung helpdesk after a three week delay. They are utterly hopeless. Their English was not heavily accented so I could not tell whether they were asking questions or telling me a fact. They promise to investigate and hopefully provide a tracking number that probably doesn’t exist.

I just had a look at their Trustpilot reviews. 915 reviews and they have a rating of 1.1 out of 10. Wow!

They have offered me a voucher. For a mobile phone!!! I ordered speakers not a kettle or a mobile phone. How to make a situation worse by poor handling

Thanks Hawkface. Currently Samsung Shop could not care less and are just stating that they have refunded me so what is the problem. Truly awful service. I would have hoped for so much more from a reputable brands own shop but apparently not. Wish I knew how to let others know not to shop there but reviews on TrustPilot also awful so just joining a very large group

I received mine last week and added to my Samsung soundbar/tv setup. Took me a bit of time as the instructions were a little confusing. You need to set up using the app and tv audio settings too - works great now as a surround sound system. Certainly not worth paying full price for these but just about ok at £50 each.

In summary, great speakers but a pretty poor buggy unhelpful app if you want to use any of the smart wifi features. But for £100 for two, probably worth it. Who knows, maybe (just maybe) the app will even improve! :/

I do a bit. I think it might be that it needs a continuously strong wifi signal, so I'm gonna get a Powerline (wifi 'extension' via our electric cabling).

Just be aware that lots of people online complain about pairing it with a soundbar specifically.

it must have been some sort of glitch or error then, "used stock" was shown next to "Stock Status" and when I clicked on it, it sent me to the bottom of the page explaining the status of the used stock. I've bought some anyway, but it must have been an error. But please note comment above also making ref to the used stock.

Can confirm the store will honour the R1BOGOF code, just picked 2 up for £99. Also, 6 months Deezer Unlimited code is printed with the receipt. Maybe this should be 'unexpired' until stores run out of stock?

Another reason I buy discs is that you may get extras which may not be on streaming/dd services and if it’s something I like there’s no risk of it being removed from the service or I’ve cancelled the subscription,

One station that started 2 years ago in debris space. Its gone up to 32kbps, them finding a tiny bit more debris. I don't see many, if any, stations moving to Dab+ and losing 90% or more of their current Dab audience.

Even rarer is me using any below 128kbps. Many default to a low bitrate so you have to seek out the listenable stream.

Union Jack is now 32kbps. I wish the bitrates were higher - similar to that in mainland Europe but bitrates comparable to Internet streams is simply not going to happen (and 320kbps is a rare thing - if anything, high bitrate streams are rare online - 48kbps for AAC streams are the norm which would be equalivent to 56kbps for DAB+ (additional overheads are included for a DAB+ service)). The UK digital mark specification does not require radios to decode more than 188kbps at the error protection level used for the vast majority of DAB+ services in the UK.

Two main differences: - The use of the AAC codec instead of the older MP2 codec which allows a station to reduce its bitrate by 2-3x that of an equivalent MP2 station. There is also far less excuse for a station to drop to mono because the savings is only 2-3kbps for a station that uses parametric stereo (all UK services do with the odd exception on a small scale DAB multiplex if I am correct). - Improved error correction by around 40% from my measurements. Whilst a DAB service is showing errors (so called 'bubbling mud'), the DAB+ service will remain stable. Using a pocket radio, I get far less errors and dropping out listening to a DAB+ service compared to a DAB one. There should be no excuse for a manufacturer not implementing DAB+. I have seen radios below £10 which support DAB+.

Thanks bought for my daughters bedroom ,just painted blue so should fit in well

I have several DAB portable radios and all but one have no trouble picking up a strong signal. I live in Liverpool and I can pick up Manchester and Stoke stations. The nearby railway line and overhead cables cause a great deal of interference on FM so much so that Radio 3 is impossible to listen too. DAB makes listening possible and, to quote the hype, interference free. As for the mono speaker in this set, you don't get much of a stereo effect if any all from twin speaker sets so it's no great loss. What does confuse me is the 3 months Deezer subscription. This isn't an internet radio.

I always prefer to use FM where available for the Stereo. DAB, like CDs, is never as good as they initially advertised and broadcasting in only mono is such a backward step. :(

In fact, some children thought they experiment if seeds could grow next to a router and the answer was...

BTW, I once bought a previous version of a cheap black portable Logik at Currys and struggled at connecting as areial? had to be pulled full length. Had to return it. Do doublecheck wrt new version.

Put your DAB radio next to router, mobile on a call, Bluetooth speaker, cordless phone base unit... and play anything if you can.

Thanks Picked up the second one. I usually play music through my Amazon Dot but doesnt look as if there is any way to set them up as a stereo pair using bluetooth or using an Aux cable :-( (Unless I'm missing something). I guess I could get a 3.5mm Aux to 2 x 3.5mm Mono Splitter which would do the trick..... Just trying to make it as easy to use as possible for her indoors & the sprogs.

They turn off to standby mode after 20 mins. When you start to play something they will turn on themselves and start to play automatically. Great paired with Spotify Premium.

I have a chance of picking another one of these up. Can I as how they work when using 2 as a stereo pair? For example do you have to switch both on individually or do they come out of a standby mode? Cheers.

Bagged & tagged. :-) Product now removed from website.

We have 4 in the same room. Two in front and two behind, all set to their respective postions (left/right). I liked it when we had 2 All3's behind and the All8 in stereo mode at front. The 4 sound better again as the front now give proper stereo separation. If you can grab 2 or more if definitely recommend them. If you look at pro reviews of the All3 they say they sound just as good and some say better than the Sonos 1 equivalents.
