Oh how I love PS+!!!!!!!

Just saved myself £15 as now no need to buy batman! & can also sell vanquish :)
#3
Makes me also realise not to bother buying psn games unless heavily discounted... I bought limbo recently and haven't played it yet.
#4
Thanks for the heads up, not got round to trying Arkham City yet so looking forward to giving that a blast :)

I can probably predict all the future free stuff based on what I have already purchased before. :p

Limbo is great as is Vanqiush and I needed Batman back after I sold mine ages ago so its all good. Damn wait it's Arkham City. Got that needed Asylum. :(

Anyone got the Vita list?

I could be wrong but, we might not see anything for Vita until mid December as that's when it launched this month. Or possibly not until the new year.
Not sure if PS3 and Vita content will update at the same time.

How does this work if you have one psn account and two ps3s? If I already have the batman game, does this mean another family member can have the psn one and each have their own trophies and saves for the game or are the trophies set to one lot per game per psn account?
#10
Vanquish is a gorgeous looking game. I finished it on normal, might have a go at the harder modes now!

Bought PS+ a month ago and already feel like i've got my money back.
#11
Arkham City is fantastic not sure I'll sell my physical copy 'cause I'm just a bit old school like that.
Vanquish is quite good, judging from the demo I played around it's original release date and everyone raves about Limbo.. since signing up to PSN+ a couple of months ago I've already got a heap of great games to work through! 8)

I imagine so. As you can with purchases from the store.

By fixed, do they mean they are there permanently or they fixed the terrible audio problems with LBP2? It's totally unplayable as the audio repeats and skips. Is anyone else having this problem with it? I have installed it twice and the problem is still there and others reported it online.

Awesome, always wanted to play Vanquish

Just got Playstation Plus+ on 3 months deal with new PS3 purchased for Christmas.

Question 1: once you download games to HD are you able to play them for as long as you want or do they require you to continue subscription. i.e. after my 3 months is up will the games I've downloaded be still playable.

Question 2: is it worth a 12 month subscription. Guess answer for me is going to be yes as it is mainly used for my 2 lads (8 & 11) who enjoy the older games as oppose to really unto date games like COD etc. We mainly buy 2nd hand games and only really a couple of really new titles for Birthday's/Christmas...

Any info much appreciated.

Games expire when subscription ends. When you resubscribe the games will be active to play again.

Anlyngi, sorry not had no LBP2 issues.

You can only play the games whilst you have a subscription.

And I'd say it's worth it, yeah. Numerous titles for them to play.

Excellent. Got Batman on Steam but not got around to playing in. Would much rather play it on the big screen through the PS3.
#25
You can currently get 12 months for £30 so was a no brainer for me. Got my money's worth afew hours after subscribing.
#26
yes you have to keep paying the subs, why would you think otherwise, people would just get psn for three months and have £100's of free games!! not the brightest business move. and yes its worth it

1. You can only play the games for as long as you subscribe, and if your subscription lapses then the games become locked. However if you later resubscribe you regain access to everything you previously downloaded.

2. If you mainly buy second hand games then I would say PS+ is absolutely perfect for your family, because for £40 (or less if you find it cheap somewhere) you will be getting 45 games over the year, and the games are good ones too, not bargain bin stuff. Also there are other advantages to PS+ such as automatic updates and cloud saves.

I have a feeling that the Vita incentives may ease off a bit though, I think America got Wipeout and Jet Set Radio so Europe may get those soon but then after that Sony are kind of limited on what they can offer without shooting themselves in the foot because of the Vita's small catalogue.

LBP2 works fine for me too and my GF is playing it pretty much every day at the moment. I think the PS+ version is actually a special edition designed to run from the internal HDD as well.

That true Spark, perhaps as well with offering 2 of the best games on PS+ is might help boost the console sales. Afew PSOne classics for free wouldn't go a miss neither :)

Totally agree, the vita game catalogue is a little slim at the moment and they may struggle to find games for PS+ over the next few months..... but we cant complain as it's just an added incentive to the already brilliant PS3 service.

I'm not sure if PS+ is big enough for that yet unfortunately and I'm not sure why they don't throw more PS1/PS2 classics into PS+ since that would probably work out cheaper for them although most of the PS2 classics on PSN are rubbish anyway because most of the decent PS2 releases have been given a HD revamp since then.

It doesn't help that they dropped 2 of the biggest exclusives on the machine in the first month. :)

Thanks for the replies Gaz and spark. I will try removing it again, very odd. Crysis 2 and Infamous 2 play perfectly so it's not the console or the hard drive!

I think you're the one who has something wrong with you, if you think every PS3 owner with internet has to have PlayStation Plus; what a muppet. (_;)
