    I'm a big advocate of people testing their blood pressure. I would suggest purchasing a monitor from the validated BIHS list though to give you comfort over its accuracy (bihsoc.org/bp-…se/). CE approval just means that the product has passed various health and safety standards, not that the results are accurate. I haven't voted either way as I have no personal experience of this device.

    Check your BP people! I was/still am super fit/active. Went doctors for unrelated issue. They took BP. Was around 160/100. Even though pulse v low. I felt fine. Now on daily meds. It’s called the silent killer for a reason. Well worth getting g checked

    Such a shame they've gone up so much.......
    I needed one from the local doctor a few years ago and had to wait for a patient return as they had so few.
    After that time, Asda had Omron M2's for a £10 (about half price I think), so I bought 1 for myself and 2 for the surgery.

    If you suffer with hypertension and are on anti hypertensive medications then I would recommend you get something more decent. Omron is a good brand in my experience.

    i wouldnt bother with this one. Got one delivered yesterday from ebay which looks very very similar. Cheap, shoddy build, and has a very loud voice 'attention please'.... etc every time you check BP. I can't see any way to turn this stupid voice off. Its going back and I'll get one for £20 off Boots or Argos.
