What are people's views on this game? I've enjoyed the campaigns but multiplayer I've had no motivation to play for a long time now

The usual crowd of committed players are constantly very angry, but as someone who hasn't been interested in CoD for a very long time I actually really, really like this entry. Guns feel hefty and powerful, pacing is excellent and it's very action packed without feeling like you stick your head out and get immediately eradicated by someone who plays it 24/7. I'm not much for multiplayer either usually, but this is good stuff in my opinion.

Campaign was pretty great too. Extremely well done cutscenes, a surprisingly decent script, varied scenarios and feels less like the 'whack a mole' approach of enemy spawning from older Call of Duties.

As someone who isn't 'into' Call of Duty, I thought this was just a fine game all around. No interest in Warzone, and DMZ has issues, but the multiplayer and Campaign both impressed. Just don't expect to run the campaign dozens of times, it's still a comparatively linear experience as good as it is.

Just found this on the listing so it's a yes
    Features & details
Includes Xbox One / Series X version of the game.

I don't use my xbox much so don't know the answer to this.
I have an Xbox One and an Xbox One series x. Can I play the xbox version on both consoles? (edited)

Yes you have both Xbox One and Series X versions. The disc if like the PS5 version is basically about 80Mb of data so really purely a license key. So insert the disc into the Xbox One that version downloads, insert into a Series X then that version downloads.

Is it correct to say Xbox Series S owners are unable to get this price?

Correct, you need to purchase either direct from the Xbox Store or find a digital key being sold.

The biggest hurdle is the install and menu where is the damn game puzzles. After Vanguard install and wondering why menu is for MW2 if I don't own it and worked out right arrow to find Vanguard game was hoping this would be easier. Inserted 133mb disc and after 67gb update file saw homescreen for 2.0 with samurai guy with sword and again thought no that's not the game.....then after many YouTube and web searches sort of thought it was. Then main menu puzzled again and had to scroll all the way down to bottom to find campaign then had to check web that missions matched.......then I was so tired it was bedtime......again I was defeated......wish me luck next time with MW2 (menu wondering.... 2nd time)

Picked up a perfect Xbox version on Gumtree for £20 4 weeks ago, so worth a butcher's. By the time it's £10, people would be on MW3.

If you're a big camper this game is for you. They nerfed movement compared to MW1 (2019) alot it's heavily favoured to sitting ducks

Newbie question alert.... I have a PS5, if I wanted to play online with a friend with PS4 coop and multiplayer do I need the cross gen bundle for me or PS5 only version OK (and just ps4 version for them )? Trying to work out if both need to be on the PS4 version for full cross gen features. Plus does coop definitely work cross gen or just battle royale multiplayer? Thank you!!

Awesome game, especially DMZ - Mazrah and Ashika, plus resurrenge quads and battle royale quads.

Shame there are still lots of bugs - yesterday on Ashika a helicopter with boats landed on my two teammates and they and the heli sunk into the ground and i couldnt revive them - weird

Big shame pathetic idiot cheats ruin DMZ (and plenty of toxic idiots). French people are the biggest cheats. activision need to get heavy on cheats, otherwise people will stop playing it - i stopped playnmg Supercell's Clash Royale on the mobile for that reason. Dont get why people bother cheating, zero skill and sense of achievement. Plenty of you tubers use cheats. Should be able to excluded pc players. (edited)
