Great price for a L series macro lens. This is the cheapest I have seen for this fabulous lens. Next cheapest I can find is £630 ish. Even the HK ones are around £550 now.
Potentially 414.99 after cashback.
Aquai: Canon cashback as well: (£55 cashback).

If you buy 2 of these and sell one one ion eBay for £550. I calculate that the one lens you are left with would have cost you £345.
2 of these costs £940. £125 cashback from canon. So ends up costing £815.
Selling one on ebay for £550. Subtract £55 eBay Fees (10%), £20 PayPal fees (3.4%), £5 recorded postage (item weighs ~700g). That leaves you with £470 in your pocket.
£815-£470= £345
Definitely worth buying 2 and selling one on eBay if you want to save a bit more
If you earn £60 / hour, just buy one and don't worry about it!
Money : no object.
Think that is what has caused amazon to drop the price briefly, looks like they have price matched curry's but then realised curry's have the wrong picture and code up. The description on Curry's is for the non-L lens.
Sorry to hear that, as mentioned further up this thread currys product photo is wrong, you just bought the non IS version X 2. In fact, currys don't even sell this lens! Hopefully it won't be much of a pain returning them...

This lens qualifies for £55 cashback. END OF.
Filters are good but if you are seeing an odd double effect with Bokeh (this goes for any lens with a low aperture) try removing the filter and 9/10 it will improve the bokeh no end.

Managed to pick up 20
Maybe some KIND soul from here would sell you their second? .. come on lads..
Hadn't been able to justify droping £670ish on this particular lens, but £414 is like a no brainer..
My shopping event was very similar to the one of MacTheHac.
I can see why people might be upset, but this was always a mis-price!!!

Works well on the 5D MkII's full frame sensor ;-). Once you go full frame it's difficult to go back to a cropped sensor, everything just feels right...
One thing that I *have* noticed on inspection of some photos today is that OOF highlights (or bokeh if you will :)) of the L lens do seem smoother, which corresponds to what the-digital-picture said in its review of the lens. That's not to say the original 100mm was bad at all - just that this is even better :-)
