I suspect that the "Do not be carried with the vehicle, prevent shock." is a poor translation of "do not use when connected with the vehicle, prevent car electronics from frying". Which could cause quite a shock (it would write my car off, for starters).

The "pulse repair" is usually putting a narrow pulse of relatively high voltage across the battery. Which would also fry car electrics, end to end. The idea is to dislodge any insoluble lead sulphate on the plates - which then falls to the bottom of the cell as "sludge". The gap between the bottom of the plates and case is quite small and if that gets filled with sludge - your battery will self-discharge a treat. So, after repairing (which can actually work once in a while) the cells need flushing out and refilled, ideally with fresh electrolyte. Non-criminal application of old tights, perhaps?

This is probably not connected to mains earth - I'd suggest not touching the crocodile clips, when connected to the mains.

I bought this from AMAZON about a year ago for about £25. It worked well on my old car battery which other chargers had failed to charge. Might be just luck but worked well for me.

Same here I got one and it works perfectly fine, and yes I would only use it on a battery outside vehicle not connected to the car (edited)

Got this exact model from Amazon for £18 3 months ago. Has worked brilliantly several times when I suspected my battery was failing. Also helped a neighbour out when their battery had died after leaving their headlight on. Recommended

Bought one of these three years ago during after 1st Covid lockdown and found a depleted battery on my car. Been used several times since with no problems. If it stays dry, I'll be using it this afternoon to charge the battery on my cabriolet which has stood virtually unused for the past two months, and in anticipation of another couple of days sunshine later next week. As others have said, do not charge whilst connected to the car, and charge outside of the house for the sake of fire safety. Also, do not charge the battery in confined spaces with little airflow as hydrogen gas can build up. I've never had a battery explode, but have known for acid to leak.

Bought it to replace my ancient Selmar 'Star' battery charger which dates back to 1978-79, which still works, but is purely just a trickle charger. I probably paid more for that back in the day. 50777146-f3unj.jpg

Cheap £10 12v battery charger from Aliexpress.

    What could possibly go wrong?

No offence to the poster. (edited)

id say observe it while its charging if there is no higher than usual increase of temperature of it.Its quite ok for the price. You can buy more expensive and less quality chargers from high street sellers in UK such as Euro C P etc...
