just been into the asda store in Poole and found loads of Xbox 360, Xbox one, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii, Wii u and PC games for £1 each!!!! they are marked up as department 37 sales. clearing old stock. some have cracked cases or no covers but games and dlc are included and new. I only picked up copies of Xbox games I wanted. those were:
xbone gears of war Ultimate edition
xbone lords of the fallen
xbone ryse
xbone farcry 4
xbone mortal kombat
xbone adventure time
x360 dark souls 2
x360 darksiders 2
x360 dead island & dead island riptide.

they had similar games on PlayStation and Wii. sorry for lack of more details but I was just happy grabbing some bits for myself.

try at other asda stores and ask for the department 37 sales/clearance items.

fingers crossed that this helps someone else.

    so far I have been to 16 local stores spent £37 worth of petrol and a further £10 on sandwiches pop and chocolate as I was hungry and tired...on to my 17th shop now but still no joy in the £1 games. my wife was expecting me back 3 hours ago for tea...gotta find at least one £1 bargain

    As said on Facebook; someone got lazy in store and assigned all of the games to a discount code and put them all through as £1. You won't find them many if in any store apart from the OP. A deluded amount of hot votes.

    just called the Poole store as I live nearby, spoke to entertainment, basically they knew nothing about those games like the op said missing posters, artwork ect so just flogged them for a quid! all gone now and.they said it's extremely store specific because it's just if they have any lying around! op right place right time! congrats sir

    There was some in Fleetwood Asda today but the £1 ones are long gone and none of them have the original cases they are in black dvd boxes with a sticker saying what the game is

    ha i know. the guy at the self service was getting bored of typing in game manually each time.
    when i left there were about 20 games left. mostly playstation... someone took most xbox games... sorry
