I'm amazed they can sell it at this price and people perceive it to be a deal. In less-economically developed countries in Asia, this is generally only consumed by the poorest people in society (manual labourers and so forth), and avoided by members of all other social strata (who eat whole, non-broken rice). While that isn't a denunciation of the quality/product itself, to sell it at this sort of price is rather audacious; and for it to be seen as good value for money, is very surprising IMO.

Cheap bird food! Wouldn’t eat it myself though

Great deal but how do you fix the rice so you can use it again?

All this "Some assembly required" business is getting out of hand.. (annoyed)

Casdon supermarket checkout till toy £7.40 at Tesco direct

bought it the last time it was on offer, great toy

Was just about to order and now and now seems to have gone up on both sites :-(

They used to do it, now i would just tell them that im going to reorder and send the other one back hopefully they will see the sense of not having another return to deal with and refund the difference.

They won’t adjust the price after purchase apparently. Just spoken to them on a different item.

Went to purchase another for a friend but now appears out of stock.

Little Tikes Fire Station/Supermarket Playset £5 each INSTORE @ Asda
LocalLocalFound 29th MayFound 29th May
Little Tikes Playsets- Fire Station/Supermarket Reduced to £5. Seen in Asda Linwood

Seen a lot of reduced toys in Asda lately down to a fiver. Lot of them are the things they usually have at 2 for £20 normally

saw this and many other 75% off toys in a few asda stores. £20 was too much but £5 sounds just about right. some toys represent a great value: there was a huge fire station for £5 (brand? ibuild)

Hot! Shame no Farm Foods near me.

It used to 2 for £4 in farmfoods.

Pretty sure I've never NOT seen a 2 for 5 on B&J in farmfoods.

Are these not £2.5 in Tesco and Sainsburys? Also just checked Morrisons £2.50 each, probably the same everywhere else?

Nice spot - though I'm not letting Mrs Hutch know, or the freezer would be nothing more than B&J ice cream :D Heat added!

I think the complainers need to think about ‘volunteering’ perhaps? We chatted to the store manager in a city centre Sainsbury’s last week to see if we could get them to give us the sack full of breads/rolls they had, for the homeless street kitchen which was operating down the road (all run by lovely volunteers & much of the food is donated too). Sadly he told us they could not oblige due to the fact that when they previously had ‘arrangements’ with local charities/ causes to collect surplus food, it was very hit & miss, and often they didn’t bother collecting (lack of regular volunteers for charities concerned). Hence the supermarkets are left with last minute mounts of food ear marked for the less fortunate that no one collects. Currently their surplus/waste is used for animal feed. In an ideal world, yup would be great if all the supermarkets, wholesalers could do, unfortunately they can’t/ won’t........ but WE can all do our bit instead of finger pointing/ blame shifting. ‘Most’ of us can, if we really want to help, give up a couple of hours a week or so to help/ volunteer so that organisations have enough volunteers to assist with the food collections, cook the food, serve it etc .... Ultimately each of us can, in whatever little way, help make a difference :)

See your point, but if ASDA did drop them off themselves,it would do some good and give ASDA kudos. It's not like they can't afford to do this, even if it's a one off, will help the unfortunate. Also, other big name supermarkets would follow suite.

They should be criticised for poorly planning demand levels of fresh produce much of which has gone to waste and could have been better distributed earlier. I saw the produce being given away and didn't even think it was good enough to feed my pet rabbits. I feel sorry for the suppliers who have probably seen their price driven right down for providing large quantities of produce for over buying consumers during a festive break!

The main issue here is that we are importing more food to the UK than we need. Why? So we can have everything we want in every supermarket at any time of the year regardless of seasons so that you as a customer don't go to one of the other supermarket chains. They have to overstock on every item so they always have stock (or as close to that as they can). Tesco Cheif Executive said: “In retail there will always be some surplus food. No matter how sophisticated the ordering systems are, it will be impossible to perfectly match the supply and demand for every one of our shops, 365 days a year, when there’s so much volatility.” Supermarkets like to put on a "responsible face" that they don't waste food but when the Co-op near Leeds Bus Station throws away £3000 worth of food waste every single day it shows how much unnecessary food we are bringing in.

Thule Vectros Protective Bumper for Case 11-Inch MacBook Air £5.96 Prime / £10.71 non-Prime (RRP £69.99) - Sold by Plumbing Supermarket / Fulfilled by Amazon
Found 27th MarFound 27th Mar
Seems a good price for a decent case. Has been down to this price before but has been on sale for over £100 for a good while too

I have one on a Macbook Pro 2014 model. fits nice but the clear cover (top and bottom) was a pain. I ended up taping these covers on to the Bumper (on the inside so you cannot see this when fitted) I also got dust covers for all the ports and it looks sweet

Isnt idea of air to be super thin and portable. This thing is chunky.

Scorching hot for someone who has a 11-inch MacBook Air and believes in cases. I'm more of a nudist when it comes to cases on my devices (highfive)

@daniielnayylor,That was pretty much like most shops.

maybe a bad batch, it does seem very hit and miss with the super 6 especially, had a few issues with the super 6, makes we wonder how they source/store these.

Honestly I've not had that experience. Maybe you have a bad Aldi. I find carrots etc much of a muchness to be honest though - I only ever buy basic carrots in a bag (never organic or any of that bunkum), and they all seem to taste the same to me. My carrots and parsnips were all Aldi this Christmas and they came out a treat.

haha, ye sure that must be it. seriously though they were roasting for ages and ages and they still were not getting done, i was annoyed as everywhere was shut for christmas so I could not get any more. maybe aldi hoardes they super 6 stuff well in advance that they are either off or unable to be cooked as they should more and more often it seems.

Vegetables don't go hard and impossible to get cooked as they get older - I often roast carrots and parsnips that are weeks past their best before date. Maybe you just forgot to switch the oven on at Christmas 😋

Aldi super 6 has become pot luck if it will be fresh when taken home, in fact the recent blueberrys were mushy and furry even before leaving the shop. the last time i got some satsumas they ended up in the bin as they were all off. over christmas their carrots, suede and parsnips ended up being hard and impossible to get cooked meaning they stuck out like a sore thumb and spoiled the meal. Aldi seem to have lost quality over these so called deals.

700+ for Aldi acccepting Amex :o

ALDI UK stores are indeed accepting Amex contact and contactless from 7th as smithers states above however NI will have to wait a few more weeks as they roll-out the Irish terminal updates

Most places? Do you even have one? I recently got one and all the major supermarkets, fuel stations, air lines, cpffwe shops, and chain restaurants accept amex. In fact, it seems like very few don't accept them. So what do you mean by most places?

Just tweeted Aldi and they confirmed ALL stores to accept AMEX from 7th Febuary.

I don't rate some Aldi fruit .Out of season plums are often old ,and their oranges are often dry and bitter . Obviously most produce has been in cold storage .Lemons and bananas are okay .Morrison's produce goes off quicker but the quality is much better .I can't say Aldi is a draw for me these days due to rising prices and variable quality of their produce .

In asda the blueberries were 'on offer' for £1, so I think these are competitively priced. Maybe people could enlighten me as to where the blueberries can be found at a better price?

COLD. No good deals here and really blueberries prices have been rising a lot in Aldi and staying the same in other stores 🤣

One day the public and most hukd ers will wake up and realise the lidl and aldi deals are no longer anything special.
