For gaming, unbeatable at that price really. Yes, it's completely worthless at HDR, but you need to move up to £350 for the AOC Q27G3XMN to get a gaming screen that's good at HDR.

If that AOC monitor had a USB hub I'd be tempted

I bought this recently to use with my pc and a Xbox S-X on the last £220/200 deal in Feb. Brilliant piece of kit for the and I wish I had upgraded years ago.

Its got great image quality, and I was impressed with that decent factory calibration of the colours when I checked it with my colorimeter.

Although the panel is only QHD, it has a console mode so it appears and accepts a 4K/UHD signal.from the the Xbox which enables all the full HDR and VRR output of the console.

I can now appreciate all that detail (and tiny text) in Baldur's Gate 3...looks amazing.

The single HDMI is a pain as my older pc doesn't have display port but I use a 4k HDMI splitter to easily swap between inputs, and so far doesn't affect the VRR.

I know there are better monitors out there , but not prepared to pay 4x-5x more for oled 4k panel and don't feel like I'm losing much with this Dell anyway .

What would be the best option for sound ? No 3.5mm audio out ?

Brilliant monitor, got mine a few months ago for £164. Might've been around Black Friday if I recall.
Forza Horizon 5 looks absolutely gorgeous at 1440p ultra

Stunning IPS panel one of the best I've had and I've gone through enough.

Would this be a good gaming monitor for the PS5? Is it capable of doing 1440p 120fps

    Yes and yes 😁

Seems to be on sale every other month currently

Got this the last time, seems decent so far don't have any issues with it

Any IPS glow? I bought a cheaper dell model (IPS QHD) and it has a lot of ips glow.

    Fantastic monitor

Just bought this for 230 from ICT sales, gutted. Good monitor, but definitely play around with the settings to get the colours right.

How similar is this to the Dell S2721DGFA? I’m guessing it’s not quite the same specs but I’m looking for another to put alongside my current two.
    ultimatecompletewarrior's avatar
I got the S2721DGFA and the S3222DGM already. I just bought this monitor right now. Borders look a bit bigger, and there are less HDMI ports, but it will go nice with my setup. You only live once. (edited)

Excellent monitor for the price, got mine last month refurbed from eBay. Great for both gaming and office work. Haven't noticed any glare issues.
    Gottograbthemall's avatar
Wouldn't happen to be the official reseller with 1 Yr warranty would it? Got mine for about £175 with code for the daughter and got one for myself new from dell last time it was on offer. Was gonna post it but couldn't be arsed tbh all gone now anyways. Only had a small scratch on the stand screen was mint though. Can't fault it at this price happy enough with both of mine.

I have this paired with a 4070 and 5800x3d. It's the best value monitor going. It's beautiful. HDR is of course pretty useless but I know anything under 1000 nits isn't worth bothering about. This is a great gaming and work monitor. Unless you want ultrawide or 240hz then this is the best IPS going. Only worth going OLED above this unless you want something specific

Missed this last time by one day waiting for payday - even kept it as an open tab for weeks to check every time I’m on the laptop, must have taken a few days off looking

Great find! Hopefully in stock still come Monday
  17. Tanuki334's avatar
does it get cheaper from here?
  18. MaryBunny's avatar
Very tempting, especially since it is one of the few 1440p monitors that supports VRR on PS5, but no 3.5mm audio out is a bit of a deal breaker unfortunately. (edited)
    igrift's avatar
I've got the older model, which has 2 x hdmi and 2 x audio out. Strange downgrade.
  19. Darkdeviant's avatar
Is it worth upgrading my old dell 144hz tnt gsync monitor to this?
    GOODSTUFF's avatar
the colour reproduction will be way better and if you have a pc that can actually push those extra frames beyond 144hz at 1440p then yes this will be pretty good. If not, then you are essentially upgrading to a IPS panel from a TN which personally, would not say its worth it. (edited)

HELP!!! Currently considering a gaming monitor for PS5 use, mainly Warzone and single player games.

I am currently connected to my 65" LG C3 via HDMI 2.1, so should be 120fps@4K, plus HDR and (I THINK) VRR.

Would going to a gaming monitor be a major downgrade (65"-27", 120fps@4k vs 120fps@1440p, OLED-IPS) or would the improved input response time be worth it?

I hear people saying gaming monitors are the way to go but to me everything seems a downgrade solely for PS5 use.
    GOODSTUFF's avatar
Its a heavy downgrade from a beautiful 4K OLED with 120Hz VRR that is the pinnacle PS5 home console setup.

improved input response time will be a minimal difference and you won’t really notice it. Especially since the LG C3 is already optimised for gaming with ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) which you can check is enabled on your PS5 console settings within the Sound and Screen section

    Anyone possibly got a code?
  28. Hulsey's avatar
Anyone know what this is like for watching movies and tv? I game as well so need higher fps than the 60 I have atm but also watch all movies and tv shows on my monitor too as at uni
    BlackwellNik's avatar
As with any monitor in this price range, the HDR performance is substandard. If you've never tried HDR before, you may still enjoy it, but it's not what this is designed or sold for. Ultra HD (4K) content is significantly scaled down 2/3 and Full HD content is significantly scaled up 4/3.

So, it's not well placed to show either content to their best potential. A good graphics card and media player might upscale some content well, but virtually the only content in the native resolution will come from high production YouTube channels. (edited)

Took delivery of this yesterday. It's my first gaming monitor, and I have to say for the price I paid £185 (had £15 rewards to reduce the price) It's well worth it, using it with my PS5 and also a bit of WFH.
  32. Jackace's avatar
Anyone know how to get two at this price? If I add a second monitor it doesn't discount the 2nd screen. I think the code from my work discount is only valid for one time use and then have to wait for another code
