I keep looking at these drills wondering which one I should get. Is there really any advantage to an amateur paying extra for brushless ?

Good question, don't really know the answer to be honest, you can get the cheaper one for about £50-60 that isn't brushless and less power with same batteries, I just went with the £80 brushless because it wasn't much more and you got more power, it's still much better value than a DeWalt which is twice the price

Shames it's not one large battery but still a good deal if you're not invested into other companies battery eco system

Am tempted, and I’ve already got 4 drills. 80Nm is more powerful than 3 of them (by 30Nm).

That being said, my Hitachi DV18DBFL2 18V (70 Nm) drill has removed screws that my brushless Einhell impact driver (170 Nm) couldn't shift, (torx- so no slippage) so I don't trust their claimed torque so much.

Einhell, got lots of their stuff. Some of it does a better job than my Dewalt, Makita.
Don’t be sucked in with the free 2.0Ah batteries. Really need 4.0ah for their heavy duty items.
Great brand and quality for the price though.
