Credit to Taylor1892 for reminding me about this monitor.
I know what you're thinking...How can a 4k monitor for £270 brand new be any good?
Well if you cross reference every other 27/28" monitor under £700 they all have IPS, 144hz refresh rate (some overclock to 160hz) and HDMI 2.1 / DP1.4, & Freesync (adaptive on some)

sorted byBTW How is the backlighting for bleed? As the £700 LG 27GP950 that broke last week had horrendous back light bleed (also does it support G-Sync and Freesync?) (edited)
Being a 4K/144hz monitor is what makes this a huge deal. 4K/144hz was the realm of like £600+ monitors until like the past year. And it coming down to sub £300 levels means properly mainstream prices. IPS as well, not even some garbage TN panel.
4K is well and truly here. I dont know why anybody would get a 1440p display at this point. (edited)
Because more pixels is only more pixels, and that isn't automatically an advantage.
As someone who's owned 27"-28" at 1080, 1440p, and 4k, 1440p is easily my preferred resolution for that size. 4k only really becomes (mostly) beneficial with 32" and upwards, and is generally a bit of a pain on smaller displays.
If using it for pc and not using image editors/video where the extra pixels are needed then go with a 1440@27".
For gaming on pc it's not really worth the wasted frames for a slight sharper image that's barely noticeable @27inch.
I would definitely consider 4k@32 for that reason.
If using for consoles it's a win/win I guess as it ticks all the boxes (edited)
