Always had the vibe that it was about to break into a horror story, or reveal that the events/people were maybe happening in the protagonists mind.
Loved the narrative. And the art style was perfect too.
It's all in the narrative and the build up of the mystery, and once you know how it all plays out, it just isn't the same.
May well just be my creaking old console though, hot from me!
