Great in theory but I've seen these Smyths giveaways first hand and the words 'up', 'brewery' and 'p1$$' spring to mind. I remember being really proud of my boys when they ran out of giveaway sets at one such event so they gave theirs to those next in line. (edited)

The ones in Belfast are really good. We've been to all of the ones in the past year and there's always lots of stock.

" Ages 6+. One giveaway per child." Luckily I'm just a big child

Same, I'm a big child. If they don't give me a free one I will throw toys everywhere (and I can throw pretty far now I can tell you).

Hopefully they do some other sales. Smyths rarely have discounts anymore

    Our store is quite picky.
They have raised their noses at me (adult) trying to claim a pack in the past (before they didn't even have the statement 'one per child').
Strange though, as they had no issues at putting it in their own handbag under the table for the person running the desk(!)

My son is a big Lego Star Wars fan but is away on a trip that weekend. Hoping I can get it for him, but may have to take his 15 year old sister, just in case!

Look like I will be heading there this may can I just claim for myself ?

    Yes, you can

Just dress up like Angus Young from AC/DC, shave thoroughly and put on a squeaky voice.

Anyone know what they do for special needs kids who can't attend?

Nothing, the in store events are also terribly set up as the stores are given no support to run them. The one a couple of weeks back they put out a few of the bags with the wrong instructions. The parents ended up organising it

Nice. I already have four of them so I'll be keeping well clear

How quickly do they run out? (Just wondering so I know what time to get their!)

If anyone misses the in store build, and you have a load of lego, the instructions can be foundonline, this is the card the lady in store had in case they ran out of build sheets...
