So it's about £10 so just over ten percent.

Late summer all shops are starting to slowly clear stock in anticipation for Xmas season
The 4x vouchers is usually only for other uses like lego land tickets or restaurants etc not for use at tesco to buy
So i man maths it's a free Lego!
It will be £40 as deals where points x4.
How much are those points worth, let's say in 4x vouchers?

Just a guess; but I really wouldn't be surprised to see the new upcoming PS4 Slim (+ remaining current models) to have a RRP of £199.99 after Sony's event on 7th Sept.

My Guesses:
PS4 Slim £199.99 RRP
PS4 Neo £399.99 RRP
Maybe a new portable system too... ?

;)

Neo will be £350, that was the sweet spot for the ps4 on launch so expect similar. £399 is too steep IMO.

I think it will be 399 or even more. The NEO is going to be targeting those who want that power. the fact the Slim version will be on sale for £299 (approx) They will keep the NEO as a much higher priced product at the start. Otherwise they'll risk selling no slims at all.

Do they do the bundle in store?

Sorely tempted - really good price!
I remember in the lead up to last Christmas when the Falcon was in a false short-supply and people mistakenly thought it would be a limited/collectable item (bizarre given that Lego announced it was their second biggest selling product worldwide) that it was going for £130+ by itself.
blackster
just to give people the heads up, if you are going to buy these then try and get them instore as I've just had an expensive lego set delivered to store with asda and the box was all battered as they only wrapped it in thin plastic.

Needless to say its being returned.

It's not just me then!

I had some from them before, quite big sets and they were just in thin plastic mailing film or whatever it's called. All bashed up. Rubbish compared to Amazon who always pack in cardboard boxes with cushioning.

I would want this, if there was only some way to transfer a saved game from the PS3. The Lego Dimensions support team say there is no way at present, but I'd be prepared to pay money for the transfer! I have full achievements on my PS3, apart from 2 gold bricks (underwater race in Simpsons World, and flight race in Scooby Doo world), and can't face doing it all again now I have a PS4.

That's nuts. I was hoping the starter kit hardware and saves would somehow be cross-platform, but not even cross-generation within console family? That's lame!

I have this set. The figures are a great selection, the batmobile is great and the copter does not belong here at all. I have the 3x the parts that make up the tallest part of it, and hoping to make a proper section of 60s Wayne Manor, I have so far succeeded making a proper sized drawing room with the batpole exit and a sturdy batcave base that is surprisingly not much bigger than the cave part of this set, despite being 80 studs wide x 48 studs deep.

Could I be cheeky and ask for a pic of it?

I will take a pic for you next week - it's in manageable bits at the moment as i'm decorating the mancave. Hoping to put it back together early next week and get a bricklink order in for most of the the rest of the stuff I need to finish it.

Thanks looking forward to it!

I must be getting old or just poor.

How is this worth £184? Its a small quantity of lego...

Or am I missing the point somewhere?

It's a lot bigger than it looks in the pics. £184 isn't a bad price when considering the cost of Lego these days.

What are Smyths like on Home Delivery? This going to come in a separate box or just with a postal sticker smacked on the front and some dents for good measure?

I just received a Lego TFA Millennium Falcon from Flubit that was fulfilled by Smyths. Arrived in perfect condition within a very sturdy shipping box. Also delivered by Hermes - when a service relies so much on private deliveries, it can be very hit or miss whether they treat your parcel kindly.
To be clear, this is probably the cheapest you are going to see it in the UK.

Anyone seen the special edition on the cheap? My son wants the game, but only with the 'free' Lego mini figure.
Now my partner wants the "free" mini figure as well. Less than a pound difference between normal and special edition on Amazon. Shame the normal edition is £11 more on there though.

For Lego Star Wars? Cheapest you can get for those the past 3 years is on the 3 for 2 at Boots or Argos (ie 3 for £50 making them circa £16.67)... How did you get them for £13?

I bought 2013 for £10 from Argos, 2014 for £12 from Boots.
I always but these on 3 for 2 in Argos when the offer is on. Is more than likely going to happen before Xmas, it always does!
MojoMan0427
A great way to devalue the meaning of presents and increase expectations for all young kids.

Even if you don't use these as advent an calendar, they are good bang for your buck for SW minifigs. Several £100 on SW Lego sets later, we realised that the sets don't play that well in the hands of 4-6 year old but that they prefer to make their own open design vehicles/ scenes but using the SW minifigures. You can only get minifigures with sets so the microfighter sets on offer cost £6 (RRP £9-10) get you 1 figure, the RRP £20 sets get you 2 figures, RRP £30 sets maybe 3-4. Unless you go onto eBay but you'd struggle to find certain figures.
Use code JTM516 for an extra 10% off. ;)

A great way to devalue the meaning of presents and increase expectations for all young kids.
Why's that?
Because these are a tad over the top for an advent calendar.
My 20 year old son and my 4 year old son LOVED theirs last year! Each morning the pair of them excitedly opened the doors and then spent quality 'sibling time' assembling their figures. That to me is PRICELESS! I just wish that this year's figures were more exciting!

Figures are somewhat disappointing to previous years, can't beat Santa Darth Vader

I quite like the snow Chewbacca this year! Agreed it's no way near as good as Christmas Darth Vader and Christmas Darth Maul but in my opinion 100x better than last years most disappointing figure of C3PO with a Father Christmas torso :P

I have no idea when it comes to play stations. Can someone recommend what is best for 5 year old boy please?
I already had a PS3 so my 5 yr olds play that, and have been playing the lego style games on it plus a few other games aimed at young ones for a year now. If I didn't have a PS3 already, I would definitely get a PS4 with the excuse that it is for the kids, but realistically it is mainly for me! At this age, they need a lot of help to get started, so don't expect this to be a way for them to entertain themselves sometimes, plus once they have been plugged in, they always want to play.
If there isn't an adult interested in playing, I would probably get an older model(ps3) and buy 2nd hand/reduced priced games for a 5 yr old. Keeps the price down whilst they are blissfully unaware of computers. Once they work out what they like and what is out there at 8/9yrs old, they will want the latest model. I imagine the PS4.5.2 or xbox ?? could be out or on the way...

which is a more realistic sizing for the PlayStation 4.

2TB is overkill. Don't get mad, its just my opinion.

Big flop, took many years and cost millions to make. IGN reviewed it 6.0 out of 10 lolhttp://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/08/16/no-mans-sky-review

Luckily there's such a thing as opinions and what one person says about it isn't fact.
Excellent deal

So finally got mine on Monday as promised, had to wait 25mins at click & Collect counter for someone to serve me. :( Anyways box had Yodel stickers all over it so that would explain the delivery snafu. How Yodel are still in business is beyond me. At least it was packaged well and the box was undamaged, looks a great set and now safely stashed away in the loft awaiting the little un to grow a bit or it's value to treble...which ever comes sooner. :)

That's exactly my story too, from top to bottom :)

Tried discount code but no luck..not valid anymore
Well Tesco have totally failed to deliver on time. Ordered Friday for Saturday collect from store, status still showing as dispatched, so rang up and apparently they tried to deliver but could get access to the property. I then pointed out that it was being delivered to a 24hr store, cue silence, then whispered cursing. Apparently it'll be here tomorrow now. :)
Price matched at £80 on amazon atm, delivering a few weeks away.

The game may be great and fun. But when it's priced at £50 (full price game) I expect a whole lot more for my money, and I consider that price an absolute scandal. I price games on the basis of what I have played and paid previously. So considering its price point, I look immediately at games like The Witcher 3, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty, Dark Souls, Uncharted 4, Last of Us, you get the picture. All of those games provide immense amounts of quality, content, and gameplay and therefore worthy of their price tags. Then you have No Mans Sky, a small indie title, which when compared to those games offers very little. (other than an algorithm that generates randomised planets, vegetation and creatures, based off a database of voxels). If this game was marketed as such and priced itself alongside games like Minecraft, then I would praise it's individuality and creativity. But at £50 Sean Murray can take a run and jump, and I hope Hello Games lose the lot and have to close down because this industry does not need anymore sly, lying, robbing slime balls.

They aren't randomised planets though, the mathematics means that those planets will always be the same for everyone despite the billions of planets available. There are a huge number of people that absolutely love the game but there are others who clearly would never like it but bought it anyway because of the decent marketing. Also I think the timing of No Man's Sky has been unfortunate as because of Brexit there has been a noticeable increase in game prices.

I don't get the hate for Sean Murray he delivered exactly what he said he would. I've already enjoyed it more than some of those games you have listed. The feeling I had when I first boosted out of the atmosphere for the first time was brilliant. Then to dock at a space station etc. I've still much to see and do and enjoying it. I may hit a boredom wall at some point where I feel I've seen as much as I want to but I really can't see that happening for ages and will probably work towards the universe's centre and not finish until I get there. I remember stopping playing Call of Duty after about 3 hours thinking I've seen and done this all before and paid good money for that game. The mathematics of No mans sky would not be easy.

It's not a simple indie game, yes that's their roots but this was not a small project. It took investment by Sony and the team were dedicated to it for a long time. They had to fund a soundtrack and other bits. You can't compare Joe Danger with No Man's Sky.

They should take another £20 off for including No Man's Sky :p
Is it that bad?
It is a disgrace of a game.
It's one long grind. Collect x amount of crap to craft more crap, so you can upgrade your crap, so you can travel to another planet and start collecting more crap, to craft crap, that allows you to travel to more similar looking planets, to start mining crap, to craft some crap, that upgrades your crap.
Spoiler alert: Right at the centre of the universe is a planet shaped like Sean Murray's head laughing a spewing £20 notes into the darkness of space, and then a pair of 8 bit sunglasses slide in from the right, and a bifta slides from the left into his mouth.
"Thug Life"

Lots of games have grind and some people enjoy the grind like myself. I'm enjoying the game lots to see and do and I like the soundtrack and love the graphics. It keeps getting updated all the time too. I'm not sure what people were expecting, its exactly what it was forecast to be, inspired by elite and similar games using procedurally generated planets etc. I'll be playing this game for a long time probably in between playing on more throw away games.

If you don't like it fair enough but there are load of games and genres I hate but I'd never judge people for liking the same games I hate.

That said I'm playing it on PS4 but from what I hear PC owners have a lot more to moan about.
For the announcement, doubt if all retailers will suddenly drop all prices because of a new console out in months
