Certainly is. They are dropping in price due to the new Solar versions hitting the market

Also currently available on Amazon.co.uk for £176.72. EU stock but import fees included.

It is a good device, but quite old now - released in 2019. It is quite reliable anyway, so I wouldn't worry about lack of firmware updates etc. And Micro USB plug is annoying.
Just seems a bit expensive for such an old model.

I feel the same way, especially considering it has been less than £150 before

Heated but I'd be wary of support being steadily dropped for this. That still makes it very capable for what it does at this price and used prices are around this level right now so it is a bargain. I though would be adding it to the pot and seeing if I can scalp a 540 non solar for around 250 in the next few months. That's my MO would totally understand if few agreed with me... (edited)

How do you mean support being dropped? My ancient Edge 800 still works with Garmin Connect and all their sensors, though it hasn't had a firmware in a long while. Still works though

It's a very good device and it will still be useful for years going forward despite the newer model coming out.

There are improvements in the newer model, but nothing really "must have" at the moment.

The price could drop further... Or they could all sell out and you'll be stuck paying nearly twice for the only marginally better newer model.

Excellent choice and good price. Was cheaper before but still a good deal at £171

    It's a 4 year old tech now. I wouldn't consider that a deal really.
Bought mine for a lot less three years ago!
That said, it's a very decent computer and the newer models don't add anything groundbreaking that would warrant an upgrade.
Battery degradation is probably the only thing that will force me to get a new one in a year or two.

Since this won't last long enough for a 300k Audax, I'll wait for the Edge 540 Solar discount around Black Friday.

Battery should last about 20 hours, no problem. Maybe even longer, depending on what features you are using, and turn down screen brightness.

The iGS630 is far better value at the typical price of around £160. Mine replaced an old Edge 520 and is superior in every way. Avoid Bryton like the plague as the quality and app are beyond dire.
