I'm sorry but £600 for a USED FOLDABLE is madness. You are playing the lottery here with whatever "grade 7" is. Yes yes I know you can return if not up to standard, but I really don't think it's worth the hassle. If you have a semi decent phone, and you probably do if you're eyeing a foldable, you can get a NEW Pixel Fold, Galaxy Fold, OnePlus Open, etc for decent prices when they're on offer with trade in.

When you're buying a foldable (and frankly for me any smartphone), don't gamble with used.

It's worth saying that all Pixel Folds should still be under warranty. I bought one recently from Cash Converters and a couple of weeks later a line appeared on the inner display. Google have accepted it for repair. They did ask in the live chat where I bought it from, and I debated how to answer. In the end I just said 'Cash Converters' and they said 'thanks for confirming' so I'm not really sure why they ask!

Just a quick message - I ordered a different model, which stated pristine screens and it's exactly as described - looks almost like new thanks again Mr switch

When I saw your original comment about the "pristine screens" listing I went ahead and pulled the trigger on Thursday. Arrived yesterday.

I'm absolutely overwhelmed with the condition. It's immaculate. I'm having a blast with a foldable for the first time.

Initially this phone excited me, but at its launch price and this price the fold4/fold5 are just better. Samsung has refined the folding phone better, and the aspect ratio is far more useful on the samsung

For me, the fold is unusable because of the narrow front screen. I had to get rid of the phone because it frustrated me too much.

doesn't say anywhere the actual condition?

It's in the additional details / full details, quite tricky to find on the listing

Hmm, this or the galaxy fold, decisions...

Go for galaxy, this has a crap chip

It also says the inner screen protector of this Pixel fold is removed so I would not want to replace it as can never get them perfect. I'd pass.

    Why didn’t you keep it?

Because I'm a stupid silly Billy face.
And change my phones like I change my underpants.

Tempting but can't trust Google with a first gen device plus battery life
    rgbrgb2001's avatar
totally agree, every Google phone I have owned short battery has been an issue. With this screen it will be charging twice a day

How does a phone get down to 7/10 in most areas in such a short period of time, I just don't get it.
Having said the at almost one third of the lauch price will always provided food for thought though. (edited)

    Sellers name gives it away.

Great price. I paid £699 from cash converters a few weeks ago, but have had a screen problem already. Sent it to Google and they've inspected it today and are repairing it thankfully. In the meantime ive ordered the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and traded it in for £860ish.

I go through phones pretty often, love my gadgets. Not as often as the legendary MrSwitch mind. Got a Pixel 8 Pro but if I didn't I'd be mighty tempted.

I've had a few Galaxy Z Folds and did quite like them but I do love some of the Pixel exclusive features (or Google's version of them). Love the form factor of the Pixel Fold as well.

Thanks op! Gone for one of their other models with no scratches on the screens, wasn't too much more after the discount

    Fantastic deal @MrSwitch.

Do you know if the fold is plagued with similar issues that the Samsung Fold has?
    MrSwitch's avatar

The biggest issue I had with the fold4 was the narrow front screen and typing on it with my fat fingers, what issues mate?

Is this any kind of upgrade to my Z Fold 4?

Heat added OP, not bought it but considering in a couple months

What do you think it will drop to brand new and refurbished with the release of Pixel Fold 2, Switchy?

Goodness knows mate, I'm hoping £99 ha

I got an A grade Fold5 from cash generator for £699 after a little haggling. The narrow front screen is great for one handed use, and Samsung have done a lot of optimisation for the foldable format. Plus jerryrigeverything says you have to force the pixel fold to open fully flat 😬 (edited)

very good deal but I think new Honor Magiv v2 after 500 trade in and free portal headphones is better option.
