guitar hero live wii u /Xbox 360 /ps3 £19.99 at argos

Can't seem to get the Wii U version up, just comes up with the 360 version.

Weird, the wii u version appears on the listing if you search for guitar hero, but when you click on it, it takes you to the 360 version.

The 'Add to trolley' button picks up the correct version though if you are looking to buy / reserve.

For anyone that doesn't know the guitars are EXACTLY the same across all platforms (apart from iOS version) so if you want to use the guitar for another platform all you need is the dongle. Handily you can request one as a warranty replacement from Activision free of charge without any checks to see if you own that platform's version. Great if you already own it & want a 2nd guitar to play with friends or have a faulty guitar & can't be bothered with warranty!

Just to add to this, if anyone wants to use the Wii U and PS3 versions interchangeably, all you need is the game software disc as the USB receivers are identical. The USB receivers can be identified by the front button colour as follows.

Grey button: PlayStation 3 or Wii U
Blue button: PlayStation 4
Green button: Xbox 360
Black button: Xbox One

Guitar Hero TV requires 2GB cache on the Wii U....so if you have a Wii U basic you may need to consider memory space...otherwise graphically you are not really going to get much difference between any of them....its all overlayed video.

Thank you. Picked one up for xbox360. My five year old loves it. Saying he has to play good for the crowd. Thinks its very real.

Had lots of fun with this yesterday, thanks OP. At only £20 it's great value.

For anyone that doesn't already have it, the 6 button controls are a bit odd after using the 5 button controller for a decade. Once you get used to it it's a definite improvement, as they are 2 rows of 3 so you don't have to spread your fingers out so much.

The music selection on the disc leaves a LOT to be desired though, very few classic tracks & a lot stuff I've never heard of, though that may say more about me than the game!

There's 2 game modes "GH live" is a bit "Mad Dog McCree" cheesy, with real actors playing band members as you play in front of a real audience, who either cheer wildly or boo & chuck stuff...there's no middle ground.

"GHTV mode" is excellent though, it appears to be a good way of doing dlc, with the live music channels meaning you never know what you're going to get, but being able to earn/buy credits to keep the songs you want in your collection & the list is HUGE. A bit worried that the best part of the game could have the plug pulled at any minute though when Activision decide there's no profit in it any more.

Just picked up Wii u version, never seen it as cheap as this, they only seem to have the PS/XB versions any time they have big discounts.

Brill price! Going straight in my Wii U collection.

Just reserved the PS3 version great price.

For anyone puzzled with the Wii U version Argos reference is 438/8591, if you add that it will at first come up as Xbox 360 but when you go to your basket it should show up both in the picture as well as the description as Wii U.

While it can be played offline, it's a pretty limited selection of songs, definitely worth getting the version you can play online.

Thanks for pointing that out. I did wonder that when I saw the USB dongle. Managed to get the last WiiU copy in my local 10 stores today so might get the PS3 version for the 2nd guitar instead. Wife's playing through it as I type.
