They are clear but it seems open to abuse. For instance you could feed all the homeless people in the area assuming you were buying something expensive in the store. Homeless charities could take homeless people, feed them; buy something to cover the cost of the meal and sell the item afterwards. Thereby overall not costing them much to provide food and drink.
It is interesting they haven't put a limit on restaurant spend in the T&Cs.
Child: I want to have my party in McDs
Parents: No we are taking you and your friends to Ikea. We need to buy a new bed, mattress and wardrobes. Don't worry you can all still have fries and dessert

No, you can't trade in your family against the cost of furniture.
It's best you don't know..
Can I book you for childrens party? I don't get the joke but I'm sure 15 three year olds will.
No seriously I need someone to entertain at the party and the piñata has got lost in the post but we have an old broom handle we could improvise with.
The wife prefers five guys over a freebie ? Married the wrong one there!
I guess yes

Otherwise a good way to feed your family. As long as you are buying something costing a few pounds in store.
last time i bulked out my meal with several bags of mini daim bars and bottles of alcohol
Anyone thinking they can buy as much food as they like are being more than a tad misguided
You don't want to know.
It's called humour - read post #8 and Ego-X's reply and then sigh slowly

Wonder why the Warrington store is excluded
Tell her to come round mine while you go to Ikea
you have to sick it up
5 guys, you must be noisy neighbours
The link shows the deal so it's for all Ikea family members.

Thank you
So used that to get free stuff... Get wombling
Just for info, it wasn't advertised in store, so we checked at the till and she showed us the terms and conditions. Handwritten at the bottom, it said minimum spend £6.95.

Back again, but minimum £60 spend on furniture
Just means get to spend 60 in restaurant (edited)
Terms are very clear. Eg. If you bought 50 cans of juice at £1.50 each you'd get £75 off your shopping.
why is that?
I agree and I expect the restaurants will refuse the sale if you attempt to purchase vast amounts which are obviously not going to be consumed there and then. A published transaction/person limit would have at least made things easier for staff!
and next to that is an asterisk that takes you to the T&Cs that say "Offer entitles you to the value you spend in IKEA Restaurant off any home furnishing product in-store"
The word "meal" is not mentioned in the T&Cs at all
seems liike.
This seems much better than previous times when you had to redeem your voucher weeks after your restaurant visit.
