£30pm @ Three for 24 months - 300 mins + 5000 Texts + 500MB data
£31pm @ Vodafone for 24 months - 300 mins + Unlimited Texts + 500MB data
both black and white in stock

both work out £720-ish at the end before cash back. Not too amazing but not bad isn't it? From Vodafone eForum, the phone can be unlocked for free within your contract. Not sure for Three side. Please share if you know something.

I know not everyone likes IPhone. But for those who are looking for some IPhone deals here it is.

Quidco: £40 for 16GB, £60 for 32/64. Your choice really.

NB: Vodafone has 10% discount for student on rental. Not sure if that applies to orders through Mobiles.co.uk. Worth a try?

three offer much cheaper sim only contacts so do lots of other networks, (as low as £60 per year with cashback for the same or better mins text and data)

and apple them selfs offer finance (with low interest if you keep up payments you can get an unlocked 4s from them for only £551,, if you got cash can just get fall out for £499)

also not a nokia 1100

if you get £60 sim only for 2 years (provided as you said with cashback. tbh I do not see thats so easy. link?) = £120
and if you get £551 with finance, it sums to £671 over 2 years

Now you get £40 from Quidco which reduces it to 680 for 2 years.

I do not see a big difference here. Ofc thats your choice anyway.

how do i port my number from PAYG 02 onto this (sorry for the newbie question)

For those wondering, no, the student discount/any work related/NHS discount won't work with Mobiles.co.uk, Phones4U, Carphone Warehouse etc. You must get it from Vodafone.co.uk, Vodafone over the phone, or a Vodafone store.

Phone O2 and ask for your PAC code.

Vodafone - Go to http://www.vodafone.co.uk/keepymynumber and enter the details they ask for, usually phone numbers, SIM card numbers and PAC code.

Three - Go to http://www.three.co.uk/Support/Welcome_to_Three and click 'Bringing your number to Three'

Lol, I have had the S2 since release date. On the weekend I opted for the 4S 16GB with Vodafone. £31 a month, £15 upfront and £50 quidco.

I am happy, smaller screen takes getting used to. Although getting Vodafone 3G speeds of 6megs, compared to O2s 4megs (at my house)

It might be a fair fight between Apple and Samsung if the prices were similar. But you can get the Galaxy S2 so much cheaper that it just makes no sense to buy this.

Would like a bit more data but good price.

This is a very good deal, given that gumtree iphone 4s 16gb and 32gb is worth 400-450+,

For the 16gb 4S,
30x24 = 720, minus a second hand 4s 16gb from gumtree of around £350 = 370 for 2 years equivalent, meaning £15.41 a month, which say compared to gaf gaf or tmobile £10 deal with sim free £500+ is MUCH better,
lets assume u could get 4S 32gb from gumtree for 350, which is a good price but impossible not to mention second hand

so hence 860 - 350 = 510 over 2 years, hence worth £21.75 for the sim only which is relatively cheap!

Yes it is expensive BUT iphone imho is a quality product, bc of one reason INVESTMENT, app store makes money hence develpment, unlike andriod.
and not to mention, if your phone gets stolen, you dont have to worry about insurance, as it is one of the benefits of paying monthly. and minites/ data is poor but acceptable, THIS IS A HOT DEAL!!!

What? You are not covered if your phone is stolen. You still need insurance even if you are in a contract.

Avoid this deal at all cost very shady company.

true but for me i hate apple after having an iphone for 4 years, hate being tied to it*rd, apple arrogance, overpriced - but for me its the dreadful connectivity, small screen and constant bloatware updates that slowly kill your device that i now hate - my iphone 3g used to zip along, but now it can take 3 minutes just to MAKE a call whilst it constatntly almost locks up with each screen press - its not my phone its all iphone 3g's

Who's network is giffgaff on? or is it their own? Are they reliable? good Cmr Service etc?
#28
Not as good a deal as you all might think - for a contract it is, but it isn't outstanding.

You could buy the iPhone 4s sim free for £500, then get a £10 giffgaff goodybag each month.
This would be £500 + £240 (10 x 24) = £740 in total over 24 months.

This contract is 30 x 24 on three = 720
This contract is 31 x 24 on vodafone = 744

So in some respects, the contract is cheaper. But I know I would personally rather have the freedom of GiffGaff and the ability to upgrade whenever. Plus, you get more texts and data.

Anything with iTunes, no thanks.
#30
I suppose if you absolutely must have one for 'free' then this is a good deal, but personally I'd steer clear of any two-year contracts.

Also, I've never been convinced that buying the base model of any of Apple's products is a great move. You can fill 16GB quickly with photos, games, videos and music. Much better to spring for 32 or (best of all) 64GB if you can afford it.
banned#31
cold. you can buy it simfree for £500 on eBay and can buy a redemption phone with 50£ quidco and sell the phone for £50, so it is £400 over 2 years

They are a subsidiary of O2. I, and many reports suggest GiffGaff is actually more reliable than O2. They run on their network and therefore gets perhaps the best UK signal. They are extremely reliable, and pride themselves in exemplary customer service. They have won numerous awards and its all done online, by experienced users and members of the public like you and I who share knowledge. Average response time to a query online is 45 seconds I think.

Cold u can get a better phone for £10 a month less :-)

About time Apple prices dropped with the obscene amount of money they make. They are a great design company, but very overpriced. I read a while ago (Can't remember where) that the hardware for the iPhone 4s costs Apple just over £100.... do the maths yourself! :)

Just get a 12 month contract on Tesco, this is definitely the cheapest way to get a 4s without buying it outright.
