In my experience kids tend to generate methane rather than carbon monoxide, and you don't need a special detector for it!

Good deal but it's worth paying an extra £1 or 2 to get the adult version. Our live's are important too.

Those numbers dont add up :-)

Think they mean that it should have been £4 each , were charged £7 each and the £2 gift voucher was given by asda as price charged was incorrect.

Now if only there was a Kiddie Methane detector..

That's fine and I understand that just a tad misleading stating it's online for 2.50 when in fact the minimum order is 25.00 plus delivery charge, shame they don't do a store delivery so i can pop in and get it like at tesco direct.

Thank you to the original poster.

The 2x Kidde ones I've had have at least reached their expiry date before they, well, expired

This is a great bargain for something that cost £8-£10 normally.

That's an absolute bargain! I paid about £14 each for 2 of a different make just before Christmas and the peace of mind is worth the £2.50 alone!

    Buy and install them!

Safety should be a given, not a luxury.

Oh no!. I bought the same one's on Friday. £21.95 at argos for a double pack. Used a voucher i had for £13, so i paid £8.95 for two, so £4.47 each it worked out at.

Ah, just my luck they go on offer after i buy some oO

I got mine as our boiler is always breaking. They came to fix it and started on about c02 levels. Sadly i am now waiting for the alarms i bought to go off, so i can tell everybody that " i told you so!"

Am I missing something about the minimum order being 25.00?

Can't see a minimum order anywhere.

Strange that this item is available on the ASDA groceries website, but not ADSA Direct website.

As soon as I click the link it takes me to groceries.asda and then I add it to the basket, click checkout and warning appears saying minimum order 25.00.

Can someone explain how to order this through the direct site?

    thanks

The minimum order for delivery is £25. You still pay a delivery charge but it's a man in a van delivering groceries. I suppose they don't want to personally deliver a £2.50 co detector thats all.

    NOT ALL STORES...

Just checked Asda Smallheath and they are marked up on the shelves as £12.50, but scan at £10. Spoke to CS who advised that the price online MAY BE DIFFERENT to the price instore, even on groceries....
  34. toibs's avatar
Just confirmed with Asda that these are on Rollback @ £2.50 each :)have therefore ordered for delivery, despite the fact that they are just round the corner from me - saves the hassle of arguing with the instore staff....
