I think this is the phone to have at the moment but I'm waiting in the hope that the new Nexus 5 is based on this with the same camera module. Good price though, voted hot.

Sounds good to me. I'd like an LG4 but i cannot see the point because my LG3 is more than good enough for everything i need to do. The LG3 is just right and can be had at a bargain price right now. Hot for the LG4 deal BTW.

Awaiting the Nexus 5 2015 too. Will also take a look at the OnePlus two - I was an early purchaser of the one so hopefully have an invite in the first month. Time will tell!

I will probably sell my Oneplus one on at that point/trade in at cex is around £140.

Definitely a decent phone, one of only two flagships worth considering this year, the other being the Galaxy S6 (not Edge)

People not in the know will choose Samsung over LG

LG resale value also has dropped recently, maybe something to consider if you like to move to other phones often.

G4 is a great handset though

Would you have a spare invite ?

I'm not sure. Last year it took them about 3 months after purchase to get 3 invites! A long time. Either way I signed up the email list too just after they announced it on twitter... But might have been open long before 9pm our time.

Had a Note 2 before - wish I'd waited for the Note 4 to come down in price.

G4 isn't laggy. G3 was underpowered for the screen res.

I've swapped my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact in for an Elephone p6000, and albeit battery life and camera are not as good, the fact I paid about £75 for the elephone and got £230 for the Xperia says a lot. The traditional phone manufacturers are going to start struggling, think Tesco vs Lidl...

seconded on the poor g3 performance. Mine was that bad it's gone back to lg for them to look at, laggy performance and random restarts resulting in 20 minute boot loops. shame because it has a really nice screen (some may say it looks washed out but it's just natural to me), good camera, memory card slot, removable battery and double tap on is great. but it does have other little annoyances, like beeping to tell you it's charged (pain if you've left the sound on overnight). considering the Sony z3 if it's no better when it's back.

LOL, some random eBay seller selling dodgy grey-market non-EU imports with no warranty. I'd rather pay the extra money to buy direct from Amazon

any person posting eBay link is person himself who sell the phone on eaby which is probably used, openbox, gray market, or Chinese or other county import with no European warranty, eBay seller can't be trusted for costly gadgets, I had many bitter experience from eBay

I know what you mean, I keep thinking of an upgrade to the G3/G4 but keep thinking that my G2 does everything I need. Great screen, perfect size to fit in one hand and battery life and processing power are superb.

Try getting a £30 refund from Amazon. My son bought his 2 weeks ago and just got a refund even though they refused at first but he registered hi disappointment and got it!

You can disable the beeping sound. Best phone by a country mile apart from G4. You must have a faulty one LG have a great helpdesk warranty team.

The rebooting g3 is overheating issue I have read? Close down all the recent apps and take a look what's running in the background and uninstall it...

it still did it after a factory reboot, unfortunately. the phone wasn't particularly hot when it would reboot but it was hot after! hoping it's faulty because I had high expectations of this phone.

You can disable the beeping sound.

    How do?

I had to root and install Xposed to get rid of the annoying beep notification every time the phone was fully charged (and then again every five minutes after that when plugged in as it discharged a little and charged a little)
